Our Program wanted to us to see what a smaller city looked like as opposed to Prague and Plzen, so during orientation, they took us to Telc which is close to the Austria border. On the way, we passes farm lands and forests. It was beautiful, but at the same time it made me wonder if people only lived in cities here because houses were very scarce! The Czech country side is so beautiful. Telc is a very small city.. more like a town. It consists pretty much of just one square and a few streets. The square had local vendors who sold scarves, ice cream, food, and souveneir-like things. I bought a scarf for 100CK (5USD). It is blue and very bohemian looking.
