On St Stephen's bridge
Travel day again!
Nice early pack-up to head to Prague with a stop off at a Concentration Camp (Mauthausen Concentration Camp). I don't have any photos of the Concentration Camp because I really didn't want to. We started our trip with a 30 minute video and I was fine watching the video until the last 5 minutes where photos were shown from when the Americans made it to the camp. The photos of the dead was horrific and the living people were just as bad. We were then given 45 minutes to walk around the camp so we saw some of the barracks and found out what they were used for, we saw the crematorium then to get back to the bus we had to walk via the 'Parachute Wall' where the SS would line people up then the back prisoner had to push the rest of them off the cliff and alsowe walked down the 'Stairs of Death' which were incredibly narrow – they officers would load prisoners up with 50kg of stone then they would all have to walk up the stairs, the staircase was about 5 meters wide and about 50 narrow stairs high and there were people

Church in the town centre - the two steeples represent Adam and Eve
in every space. Because there were so many people on the staircase, if one falls down it created a dominos effect and they would die from either falling down the stairs or the weight of the rocks and stone that landed on top of them. It was very spine chilling seeing all of this. I have also never seen our entire group so quiet as they were while walking around this Concentration Camp.
After this we headed into the Prague, Chech Republic. We arrived there at about 5.30 then we immediately went into the town to do a walking tour of Prague – It is a very beautiful city and I am definitely looking forward to our free day tomorrow!
We caught public transport back to camp (our tour guide got us a tad lost along the way but we made it) around 9.00pm, by which time it was dark outside and we still needed to set up our tents and have dinner. We had the best feed tonight... BBQ with heaps of meat (Keane must be making up for the other days where meat was truly lacking!). Dinner didn't finish until about 10.15pm and we were meant to be
