Charles Bridge an Old town from Big HillCharles Bridge an Old town from Big HillCharles Bridge an Old town from Big Hill

Tough work getting to this view
5 days in Prague, such a beautiful city with every building ornatly sculptured and so many spires on the skyline. Left Berlin in the morning an went throuh Dresden, glad i didnt stop there, dreary weather. Had a bonus stop in Terizen, a holding camp used by the Nazi's for the Jews, haunting to think of so many, 1000's squashed in there in those conditions. Everything was virtually kept so was pretty graphic. We went through a 700m tunnel in the walls to this exicution site which was scary for some. Got into Prague an had cooked dinner in the hostel with Lara, Jodie and Jess. Some cooke pasta an vege's went down well, then it was on to the drinkin games 😊 Next day did the walking tour, guide went so fast an hardly stopped so wasn't that enjoyable, good exercise though. Started the pub tour that night, there was a good group of about 15 of us that had been together since Amsterdam so started our own tour an found this 5 level club right next to Charles Bridge. Was the best night bus about 4 of us decided to go home, realised we had no idea where

we were or where we were going to, so one of the guys rang his girlfriend back home to find out the hostel addy, thankgod for modern communication. Watched the sun rise over the bridge anyway which is supposed to be one of the magic sights of the city. Went exploring with the 3 girls on Saturday, went up to the castle, is the largest in Europe an such a beautiful setting on top of the hill, i doubt anything will compare to waking up the Edinburgh one though. Went in some great gardens as well, classic manicured ones. Was such a random, crazy day spent with new friends. That night went down the road to a restaurant/bowling alley and had a traditional czech meal, goulash. Final dinner as most of us were splitting up the next day to continue on the loop, its amazing how much of a family unit you can become with people you've only met a week an a half ago if your spending most your time with them but was a great relaxed night to talk about all our little stories, im slowly starting to relise it is about the people you meet that make

Everybodies Busabout, great bunch of travellers
the destinations more special. On Sunday it was such a beautiful day so decided to go up the hill an climb the mini Eiffel Tower in the gardens. Was such a hot day 28'. I must have walked up hundreds of steps an up little lane ways. Went past a church were a solitary nun was walking in a field, a bit random, then more steps, worked off a bit of the beer consumption. Worth it, the view of Prague was stunning, all the terricota roofs with little streets an lots of spires to the backdrop of Charles Bridge and the castle. Was a marathon today so lots of people in the city. Charles Bridge was packed with all little music groups, jewellery and photos. Had such a big day of walking, went to bed early. Next day was rest day, needed it after a few weeks of non-stop action. Next Cesky Krumlov.

Ps - Funny Tram moment - had to get on the number 12 tram to get into the city which wasnt to far away from hostel. Ended up getting on it the opposite direction, realised it did a little loop at the end an comes back in. The 3 of us on the Saturday thought we would just wait on there till it did the loop. Halfway through the loop in stopped for about 20min. The doors were locked an we were in the second carrige so conductor couldnt see us, so lara cracked open her phone an started playing some Jimmy Barnes, the train started an all was well 😊
