Last night we went out to Dvinos which is a wine bar in Old Town and is owned by a Lyndon family friend Sasha Lucic. We had an amazing cheese platter and tasted some really nice wine. We met a lovely British couple who are getting married here next year so were out looking for places for their wedding. She has been coming to Dubrovnik since she was 5yrs old, and after chatting for hours with them and Lach was quite at home talking merrily they had to go and after they left we were told they had paid our bill...I am still not sure if it was them or Sasha but i couldnt believe these people did that... So we left 10am Sat morning, flew 8 hrs to Singapore. We asked for window and aisle and got the middle seating....plane seating was 2,3,2....Trip was actually ok, we watched movies didnt sleep and arrived in Singapore at 4.10 their time....The airport is enormous....3 Terminals all joined together and we decided to kill time an walk from Terminal 1 where we landed to Teminal 2 which was about 20 mins....The shopping in the airport is amazing, very designer and heaps of variety eating places too....We had dumplings at one place before moving to the internet place where we got 20 mins free time...We then found a great chinese place that had free wifi so that killed time....After that we wandered around again Lachy had a very hot curry before we headed to our gate to leave ... read more

Even though I knew I would be completely fine alone in Spain for two days, I had been slightly nervous about it leading up to Gina leaving. It ended up being a very relaxing and self assuring experience. I was fine eating at restaurants alone and felt comfortable navigating the city by myself. Right after Gina left, I ended up going back to sleep til about 12 pm afternoon then I did some laundry, packed etc... nothing too impressive. Around 4 pm I got myself together and met a friend for dinner before the FC Barcelona game. I arrived in Dubrovnik on a long bus ride from Split. I'd had to ask someone to move out of my seat (they have assigned seating on the long buses here!) as I'd booked a window seat for the journey along the beautiful coast. The strangest thing about the bus ride was going through Bosnia/Hercegovina before returning to Croatia a half hour later, and all they did for passport control was look to see that you had one. No stamp, no questions. They didn't even check that on the entry back into Croatia. Once I'd checked in, and sat for a few moments, I headed to the old town with one of my roommates, Tomoko, from Japan.
