Denmark!
across the street from my house. a little snow! Hi Everyone!
Well about two weeks ago i went to Zell am See, Austria with my second family. We left a friday morning and went until wednesday night. There were about 15 people in our group that my host dad put together from people signing up at his sports store. After getting on the bus we met up with about 25 more people from all over Denmark then headed out for the 20 hour bus ride to Austria. We left friday morning and arrived in Austria the next morning, and the bus ride was actually fun, we stopped in Germany, which was really cool because i have never been to Germany before so it was kind of exciting. Saturday morning when we got to austria we arrived to the hotel and right away changed into our skiing clothes, ate breakfast and took off to go skiing for the day. I was actually suprised because we did not even get to check in, and no one had sleep since thursday night. The first day of skiing was hard because i have never done it before, and it was probably one of the hardest things to learn in an hour. The mountain

me! and some of the group getting ready to go to the mountain! was very beautiful as well as the city and hotel. It was a completely different place that i couldnt even imagine. There was snow everywhere, and buildings that you would only see in old movies. We went skiing for four days, and after skiing we would go to "after ski" which is when all the skiers go to the bars at 3pm- 6pm to drink as much as possible, while us kids, drink as much hot chocolate as we can get. Even though some places were outside, you would stay warm with all the people surrounding you. We ate dinner in the hotel everynight in a private room just for our group, and the food, well, it was okay. i was expecting something more traditional, nevertheless, it was food, and after a ong day of skiing, i would eat anything. We really didnt go to the town to go shopping or anything like that, however, the last day before we got back on the bus some of us walked the town to go to a really popular food store, or something like that. When the last day in Austria came, we didnt waste it, we went skiing of course for

our hotel in Austria the whole day. My legs were hurting a little by then, so i managed to slip away and get back to the hotel a little sooner. After everyone else came back, we went to dinner in the town to a pizza place, which was soooooo good=) Then around 7 p.m. it was time to get on the bus to make the 20 hour ride back to Denmark. Once again, there was no sleep, and the comfort level was not very high. When we arrived back in Denmark the next afternoon, i ran right upstairs to my room to fall asleep. I have to say, it was a very short trip, but i would defintely do it again.
Now as for everything else.
Sorry it has been so long since i have done a blog, but its just when you are actually here doing stuff, you forget or its hard to take time to stop what you are doing to sit and write about everything! It's a bad excuse, but thats what it is. This whole week we have off due to vinterferie (winterbreak) which is nice because its the best time to hang out with your classmates, as well

first mountain we went to as traveling Denmark to see the rest of your exchange student friends. This past friday I went to one of my classmates house, Regitze, and we hung out with a few girls from the school which was nice because i have never really had the time to bond with those new people. The following day Regitze came over to my house and we made enchiladas for my host family, however, i got the complaint from them that they were not spicy enough this time =0. As for yesterday, us girls again went to the movie theater to see the new movie Twilight, which i believe is now our favorite movie! Tomorrow i am leaving at 5 a.m. to take the 4 hour train ride to københavn to spend the rest of my winter break with Kara. I have not seen her in a very long time, so i am looking forward to being with an old friend, as well as a fellow exchange student. I have to say those are some of the best times being with other exchange students. Its not a very common thing for us to talk with our host families about what we would talk about

me at lunch one day at the ski resort with other exchange students. Next month, once again all the rotary exchange students of denmark will have another get together weekend. I think everyone spends the month before getting anxious and excited for it! The weather has not been so delightful here; snow, snow, snow, and more snow has come this month. Almost every person i talk to here says that February is the coldest month here, which i have to agree. Thankfully, this month is going by so fast that it seems like it will be over soon. I'm not really sure there is much more to mention right now, it seems like i have always been living this life here, the routine i have for myself here makes it feel like i have never really had a life somewhere else. I go to school, walk through the town with my friends, go to shops, and hang out friends almost everyday, and after this while it feels like when i go home in five months, i wont know what to do with my time. I move to my third and final family March first, which is a little scary because i know that that time will go by too

in the chair lift =) fast and i will be praying that it will slow down. Also, in my previous blog i mention my friend Majo from Ecuador in almost all of it, but i have to say she will no longer be posted in my blogs. Two weekends ago was the last time i saw her and i think will be the last for a very long time. She ended up going home last weekend back to Ecuador at the very last minute. It is a very sad and emotional thing to see your closest friends go home, and it makes it even worse to know that it will be you sooner than you think. Its also very suprising that quite a few others from our group have already gone home.
So anyways, thats all for now!
