kara and her counc. at the museum Hi Everyone!
Well this week for vinterferie "winter break" as you know, i went to copenhagen to visit kara. I actually still have two more days here, but i thought nothing would be better than writing a blog, while im actually in Copenhagen at 1 in the morning!
So I left Struer at 5 in the morning on tuesday to take the four hour train ride, and when iarrived, Kara and one of her Rotary councilors picked me up. The whole day we had planned out, which was including a long visit to a viking ship museum, one of the most famous churches in denmark, and then lunch.
When we arrived to the museum, i have to admit that i was not to excited but it turned out to be so much fun. We learned so much about the viking age and how the ships were made, and just everything that you could learn. We stayed and saw a few films on the history, as well as some of the actual ships from that time! On display they had the five ships that they found from the bottom of the ocean dated from over 2 thousand years! It was

infront of the viking ships very cool to see, as well as to learn what these ships were used for. After we did that we had a tour guide take us through the museum and give us even more history, and then, she took us to dress up in viking outfits. It was so much fun, we felt like little kids taking pictures, but it was actually quite exciting.
Now i am home, and the last two days we just hung out at her town right outside of copenhagen. This is one of my last weekswith my second family, then i am onto my last one, which is really sad just because it means my exchange will soon come to an end. =( When i move into my next family ill keep you updated!
=)
..oh and im waiting for copenhagen pictures from kara, so hopefully they will be up soon!
