This day is a planned "rest" day for the group. Those who wanted to go skiing were able to do that just 200m from the hotel. Others strolled through the village centre, enjoying the Christmas Markets, local stores or a 5 minute walk to the Olympic Centre to watch skaters, cross country skiers and other visitors enjoying Seefeld. This evening was our "gala" dinner at the hotel. 24 Dec. is when the locals gather with other family members to share company, open personal gifts and just enjoy this special time of the year. In the Hotel Central, we gathered with other hotel guests to hear a local musician play Christmas music, then see the lighting of the Christmas tree, and also to hear a Christmas Soty about "Friendship". First it was told in German by Yvonne from the hotel staff, then yours truly read the English version. I must say - it almost brought a tear to my eye! Following this we all sat arounf a beautifully decorated table to enjoy a 5 course dinner. At this point we had 31 persons - as we had invited our other guests who were also staying in Seefeld but at diferent hotels. 8
persons from Hotel Marthe, 4 persons from Haus Neurauter and 4 persons from Gaesthaus Lasser. I believe everyone had a great time
