A warm sunny windy day. Breakfast at Pannes. The power went out, but never fear...a Generac generator is in the back. Was it made in Berlin Wisconsin? It kicked on in less that 30 seconds and within minutes the T.V.'s and all of point of sales stations had rebooted. After breakfast we spent some time back at the pool. The sun hits the pool area in the morning and early afternoon. Late afternoon the pool is in the shade. It is nice that it is in the shade if it is really warm in the afternoon. We walked to the east today to explore. Our beach area is mostly rocky with only a small area of sand. The nice sandy beaches are to the east. We walked on the beach until we decided it was time to have lunch. We could see a cloud brewing up another rain shower today. We found an Italian restaurant called Via Appia. We had meatball sandwich and eggplant parmesan sandwich with chips and sangria. Both sandwiches were very good and the sangria was reasonably priced. We had some espressos and tiramisu as well. We were glad we had a seat inside because the rain seemed

to hit some of the outdoor diners. We continued our walk after lunch back on the beach. There was an area of beach that was loaded with kite boarders. We watched for some time as we made our way down the beach. They were really moving fast with the wind today. Some were very skilled and flying into the air at least 15 to 20 feet. It was amazing to watch them control where they were going and even more amazing is that they did not crash into each other. It was a very windy, so likely the amateurs were not out on the water. We finally came to the end of the sandy beach where the sea met a wall and we could go no further to the east. We turned around and headed back, stopping again to watch the kite boarders. We headed west until we ran out of beach again and then walked along the road the rest of the way back. Stopped and looked at the sidewalk stars on Ashford Avenue. We have been walking over the stars for several days now, but never really stopped to look. We only recognized a few of the names. We headed back to our hotel and pool to cool off after the walk. We swam for a bit and then we could see another rain shower rolling in from the east. We had time for a game of cribbage before dinner. Winner of the cribbage game got to pick dinner location. Winner, winner. Lori picked where we went for dinner.
