Nicaragua + Costa Rica - 7 Weeks I crossed into Nicaragua with a friend and spent 4 weeks checking out the country. First we went to Leon and did very little then we went to the tiny coastal town of Poneloya. As we arrived we discovered the only hotel was too expensive and had a monkey tied up in the garden, I refused to stay there and we got lucky and stayed with a local. Managua was just a stop off on the way to Granada and I spent some time here as it was very pleasant.
