Hello all,
Its now Viernes and we've just broken up from Spanish school. Its quite a good course but very intensive and we are ready for a break after 4 hours of concentration.
We went to see a coffee finca/plantation yesterday. It is harvest time now and it was very interesting to see coffee plants growing. They are shortish bushes with red berries which look similar to cranberries. Here in Guatemala they grow them in shade provided by lots of different types of trees, a beautiful garden like site. The roasts we are familiar with seem to be exported and we drink locally what seems to us quite weak coffee - but it smelled good!
All is good here and we feel for those of you who are under so much snow. Yes, we really did get out in time!
