Well, not to much has happened here. The weather has been crazy, really hot in the mornings, then pouring rain in teh afternoon. It makes teaching in the afternoons really hard because there are not walls around each classroom, and a tin roof which means i have to shout alot. But these last couple days have been really hot. Last weekend and this one, i have just stayed in Antigua with some others, watching some movies (saw Pirates 3 last weekend...very dissapointed), and then this weekend just kinda hung around. I was hoping to go to El Salvador, but it didnt work out, so next weekend i think we will go. Yesterday I slept in, had a great breakfast, went to the market...bought a few things. Broke a shot glass by accident...had to pay 25 Q (about 3.50$) for the stupid thing. But i did buy a beautiful blanket..its not very big and its just so guatemalan and very bright. Overall I am very pleased with teh purchase. The other really cool thing we did yesterday (we is myself, Emma, irish Aideen and welsh Molly), is discovered this very cute little artsy cafe. The rooms are just filled with these different and beautiful paintings, all done by the couple who owns it. There all Guatemalan women, painted as flowers...we talked to the artist and he calls them women of peace. I think....or somthing close. Anyways, it was really fun. Then we had some sushi..which was very good. Then today had another excellent breakfast (very late though) and spent the day at Hotel Antigua, where you can pay 60Q and jsut hang out by the pool. it wasnt as hot as i was hoping it to be, but still really nice. Especially since ther is a lack of things todo in this town when you have been here for a while. Im looking forward to these last 3 weeks, because i now feel i know the kids fairly well, and its much easier to converse. Hopfully this week will be more eventful, so this blog will be a bit more interesting!! O before i forget, we had temers this week! Apparently it was actually i tiny earthquake, but all i could feel was shaking when i woke up on Thursday morning. I though Emma was trying to get me out of bed..but really the earth was just saying goodmorning. Until next time! (and i 'promise i will put up pictures next weekend after El Salvador..if it all works out"!)....
