We decided to go to Cobano to get let a doctor check out the wound on Robert's knee.
Infections in the tropics is not the way to go. According to one website, the bus to Cobano
leaves Montezuma at 8:15 am and so we headed down early just in case. The bus did arrive at
around 8:15 and disembarked passengers coming from either Cobano or points further up the
road. Cost is a affordable 350 colones(65 cents) each way per person.

Decided to go to the Lifeguard Emergency Care which is just around the corner from bus stop.
You will see the place as you are coming into town from Montezuma. This is a private
clinic and much more expensive than the public clinic which is about 4 blocks further from
the bus stop. We went to the public clinic last year and at 7:30 it was already full of
people waiting and figured it would be the same this year.

The doctor was very efficient and got background information on when, and how accident
happened, took blood pressure, temperature etc. and then looked at the wound. Said we did
good by washing it immediately with soap and water and then pouring alcohol on it to finish
off any nasty little germs hanging out! We also had gauze bandages and tape to cover the
wound as well. He cleaned it again, and redressed the wound and told us a type of cleanser
to continue to clean the wound with.

Went to the pharmacy next door and got the needed supplies and then to the larger grocery
store in town to buy some greens and other things we found there. Walked back to the bus
stop and got times people thought the bus was coming but no exact time. Best we could
figure out the next bus was not coming until 12:30 pm. We walked over to check what a taxi
would cost and did not want to pay $10 and a guy walked up and said he was heading to
Montezuma and did we want to share the cost of the taxi. Sounded good and off we went.

Back to Luna Llena and fixed ourselves a spinach/mango/cheese quesadilla with fresh papaya
and salad. Had been real tempted to eat at place across from bus stop but this was better
and very satisfying!

Spent the afternoon working on stories until it was time to clean up and walk to Ylang Ylang
for dinner.
