When I got to the boat at Pueasta Del Soul it was really hot even hotter than Granada, and Granada was really really hot. So I solved that by going to the pool which was refreshing but the water was warm. After that when we were eating lunch a boat pulled in and they new my dad because he met them earlier in the trip before my mom and I got on the boat this time. After lunch we went exploring to find a new pool. When we were walking around we found this swamp like trail. The trail had a lot of bugs and by the time we got to the pool even after putting on bug spray my mom had at least fifteen bug bites. The pool was fun but we had to get back to the boat because it was getting dark. When we got back to the boat the people who pulled in earlier invited us over to check out their boat and it was really cool. The next day we did pretty much the same thing like going to the pools and that stuff until it started raining and a big thunder storm came in. We
thought it would be fun to go up to the pool even though there was lightning. Our dock was rolling around so it was hard to get to the pool but when we finally got there our friends were there and the rain was coming down even harder than before. While we were in the pool lightning strikes came down from the sky and there was a lot of them. After it stopped raining we went back to our boat. The next morning at 5:00 we left for a 30 hour sail. During the sail it was storming and there was lightning and for like 10 min. there were 40 knot winds. The wind was so strong my dad had to take the boat of auto pilot. When we were sailing I didn't feel so good so my dad gave me some medicine that would make me sleep. Most of the time I was sleeping or reading. When we finally got to our destination in San Juan del Sur it was eight in the morning. We had to anchor so we had the radio on and there was a guy on land telling us exactly were to anchor. After that
we went exploring in the town. The next day after we had lunch we went to get ice cream and the ice cream was only 25 cents. After the ice cream we went body surfing and my dad asked me to go get the camera and some how when my dad tried to turn it on the camera broke. The next day we were planing to leave but we had to go to the border to get the boat checked out of the country and it took forever. We also kept paying people for stuff like cutting the line. That whole trip there was a hassle. After we got back we went back to the boat and we left to go to an anchorage. When we got there it was pretty late so we pumped up the dingy and went fishing. We didn't catch anything in the beginning but at the end we caught a grouper and two red snappers. When we got back to the boat my dad BBQd one snapper and the grouper the other snapper we put on the stove. The next day we went snorkeling. My mom actually dove underwater because of her new mask and
that was the first time she dove super deep in the whole trip from San Francisco to here. We saw some good fish and there was a lot of coral. That night we caught two mystery fish. My dad cooked a little of the fish for us to try but I didn't like the fish and my parents didn't like it. So next time we catch that kind we won't keep it. The next day we went on what we thought was a short jungle hike that we would have to follow a river. Well it turned out it wasn't a short jungle hike because instead of walking by the river we walked through the river. When we were in the river my mom walked through a spider's web and the spider jumped on my mom's head and it really freaked my mom out and what even freaked her out more was that it was huge. When we finally got that settled we started walking and pretty soon we were at a waterfall and my dad and I climbed the water fall and when we got there we jumped off!! Oh did I mention we had to wear shoes when
we did that and you just can't kick with shoes on. The next day we pulled up anchor and set sail for another anchorage. The anchorage was a cool national park. When we were at the anchorage a panga came over to our boat. It was the coast guard just checking us out because we had now entered a new country Costa Rica. We did not have to do the new country paperwork until we got to our next stop Playa del Coco. The paperwork was much easier this time. There wasn't a dingy dock so sometimes we anchored the dingy and swam in and other times we pulled the dingy out of the water and locked it to a tree. When we put the dingy back in the water a lot of times we got nailed by waves. Next we checked out the marina in the area. There was not much to do there so we moved on to a really calm and beautiful anchorage with really nice people called Playa de Panama. We were able to use their pools, and internet. Next we went to another calm anchorage called Playia Del Coco.
