Well its day 2 of our holiday in the Caribbean and we have finally unpacked and started to chill - well not sure of that one!. We went to get some cash out today and all went well and have spent the day chilling by the sea - think I could become a beach bum if this carries on. So this is my view from our balcony not bad I think when you think we have been dealing with Covid and the loss of loved ones over the year. So we are all chilling out by the sea and Eric who we have gone on this break with (including Sue his long suffering wife) decides he is going to go green and decides he is going to clean the ocean all by his self and guess what he finds a tree - only Eric would be able to see a tree in the ocean!!
So I have unpacked all of my clothes and Mike says how many coat hangers have you left me - to which I thought oh have you anything you need to hang up - oops so I quickly decide that I had better at least find
one hanger for him - not fair I had to move a dress so he could have a hanger. Guess which hanger is Mike’s!!!!!!
We have been monitoring all the planes that have been flying above the island as we have some more friends Graham and Sue who are coming in via a Virgin flight. Graham used to fly these big planes so we know at least if anything goes wrong with the pilot they will arrive safe and sound.
Anyway this Covid thingy is really getting to me as it appears we have booked a Covid test for Crane Court instead of across the road at the Marriott so now trying to get this moved - as I always said to my dad when looking after him, nothing’s simple (yes, Paula looked after him) as my sisters worked in the NHS and a Care Home, (Sharon & Vicky) one brother lives in Colchester (Bob) and the other worked in Wales (Sherman), yes Sherman like the tank. As you can see dad was in the military as Bob was also named after a General Robert.
So am going to get ready now. Oh which outfit should I
spot Mike;s hanger
Once a princess always a princess choose from my wardrobe (guess which hanger Mike got)- it is really difficult as I also have 3 of the 4 draws in the chest of draws - don’t think Mike has clocked onto this one though.
It was really hot last night (sorry to all everyone in the cold and wet) but not everything is great in the hot as the air conditioning was so noisy I asked Mike to turn it off - now being an engineer NOT he decides instead of turning the thermostat down he would turn it off by the plug - not a good idea as then it would not start again so you can imagine the words flying round the bedroom when I asked him to put it back on to cool the room - anyone who knows me knows I can say a few choice words and they are not pleasant especially in the early hours of the morning.
So now have to sign off and get a shower ready to greet Graham and Sue. I am sure we are all going to have a few rum punches tonight.
