St. Aiden's Anglican Church, from the 1800's, sits on Pompey Bay Beach. The settlement of Pompey Bay provides historians with amazing findings. Pompey Bay is rich with archeological findings. You can visit other findings in Pompey Bay, from the 1800's and beyond, such as one of the largest Lucayan Indian settlements in the Bahamas.
I have traveled to the Bahamas numerous times. As a child living in Florida, my dad would “ship” me off to the Bahamas to spend the summer months and Christmas breaks with my paternal grandmother in New Providence (Nassau). Every summer, my grandmother would gather up me and my cousins and we would take the mailboat to Acklins...our homeland for the summer.
As an adult, I travel to the Bahamas at least twice a year. I live in the U.S. However, I have never visited major cities in the U.S. like New York, L.A. New Orleans, etc. Instead, I would rather travel to the Bahamas... full info
Plaque inside St. Aiden's Anglican Church Edith Diana Horn's plaque in mounted inside the St. Aiden's Anglican Church of Pompey Bay. Ms. Horn was one of the main benefactor of this old Anglican Church. She passed away on February 14, 1925.
