Is there anything better then traveling? Packing (counting how many pairs of socks would you need), booking tickets (and then realizing that you should have bought it yesterday to save that $200), saying hello (to the new lands you are about to explore).. and goodbye (to the people that will always be there, waiting for you to come back)...
To be honest, I consider myself to be a very lucky person. I am coming from an average family, who is pretty closed minded about going abroad.. I have never had thought that traveling will be something that I would ever do. But as I learned, in life we never know what will happen next.
I was born in Moscow, Russia and spent all my childhood here up until I graduated from high school. Since I was very little, I loved taking any kind of transportation to pretty much anywhere I could. My parents always call me a travel frog, like the one from the fairytale. And I guess that gave me some push. When I was graduating school my parents decided that it would be better if I could study abroad. Life in Russia is not easy and if you have a chance to receive education abroad, it is always a better option. This way I came to Canada. Here I lived and studied for 5 years, finished a language academy, college and university. During this time I also traveled to Spain, where I stayed for almost a year as an exchange student; made a trip to Brazil on my first-ever summer earnings; and won a scholarship to go to China for 5 weeks to do a research project. This is how I discovered my passion for traveling and, as many travellers might know: once you start, you can't stop...
Now I am back in Moscow. I just graduated and now looking for a full-time job. I hope I will have more opportunities where I will be able to do the thing I love most - travel. And I hope I can share it with the world.
xoxo, travel girl 😊

"I believe! Something will happen! It cannot not happen, because for what, indeed, has lifelong torment been sent to me? I admit that I lied and deceived and lived a secret life, hidden from people, but all the same the punishment for it cannot be so cruel…Something is bound to happen, because it cannot be that anything will go on for ever…” -M. Bulgakov I am not sure, what would our country do without its great people? Similarly, I don't know what would Russia do without St. Petersburg. This city served an important role in out history and inspired hundreds of writers for their world-famous stories, poems and plays. Poetry is the most essential part of St. Petersburg - here you can find apartment-museums of great writers, coffee shops dedicated to them and reading clubs. The ... read more

Privet!! Wow, my first-ever post in my first-ever blog.. How exciting!! :D Just now choosing a continent, I couldn't decide whether to put "Europe" or "Asia".. In fact, Russia is "Euroasia", as we usually learn in school, but soon after going to Canada I realized that this word doesn't even exist in that part of the world :D Everyone considers it to be Europe, though I think it is not quite similar. Neither it is to Asia. So I am from a country that is veeeery different to the rest of the world. And even though we have our issues here, it is an amazing cultural heritage, with long history, customs, architecture and people. This way, I would like to start by telling you a little bit about my country. I know, there are a lot ... read more
