Can't wait to see you!!! I am glad you had an amazing experience in S.A Tim and I know you made memories and had experiences you will carry with you forever. I'm also VERY glad you are coming home soon so I can give you a great big hug and see all your pictures and hear all the stories I didn't get to read about through your blogs (I'm sure there are heaps!). I know it will be hard for you to return home and to not have mom there waiting for you but just remember that you still have lots of other loved ones waiting for you who can't wait to see you and love you very much. Mom definitely WAS with you every step of the way and would be proud of you for being so independent, brave and strong during your long journey. She will remain by your side through all your future journeys too. She will always be with you. She is inside all of us. I find that remembering that we all have a piece of her inside us helps to ease the pain just a little bit......

"Home" will welcome you back into the fold. Hey Tim - so very happy to hear of your decision - I believe you've now passed through that first horrible stage of grief - there will be many more chapters in your book of life, and it's super that the next one will begin in our own great country - can't wait to see you - put me on your hug list please!! Love and Hugs, Auntie Sherry
Great Pix.....again! Hi little bro,
Looks like you and Andrew had a great time together. Good to see/hear! I like the pix of the finger tips on the beach. Very cool! Is it scary to drive down there? Which side of road do they drive on? You and Andrew look like a cute couple in your cute little white car! :)
Iguazu Hey Tim - spectacular photos, but I love your natural gift with descriptive words more than anything - keep it up. I will read this to Grandma on the phone. Love You Lotsa - Auntie Sherry
Buenos Aires! Hi Tim - So good to hear that your travels are so awe inspiring, and that your perspective on the wonders of life is restoring itself. I know that you are not taking this journey alone, and do believe that Linda is with you every step of the way, as you say. Continue to learn, discover and absort - I look forward to your next blog, and as always, will call Grandma and give her some of the details.....not enough to scare her, though! Travel safely and take good care. Love and Miss You, Auntie Sherry
They do things a bit differently down there... I am so happy to hear that you are having such an amazing time down there, Tim. What an amazing experience traveling foreign lands is... It is great that you have a blog to keep all your "followers" up-to-date! Your photos are great too. I wish you all the best and safe travels. Suerte amigo. XX
Awesome Pics! Hi Timmy,
Fantastic photos! I love the steep peaks on those mountains. So beautiful. Pretty awesome that you got to watch some South American floor hockey! Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Lots of love
Kel
Awesome! Tim - your comments, photos and experiences are amazing. Your Mom certainly gave you the gift of expression and artful language - wonderful to read your descriptive phrases. Look forward to more.....take care. I'll call Grandma and give her your latest adventure, edited of course...
Love and Hugs from Auntie Sherry - and Grandma!
Amazing Pix! Great pix Tim! I especially love the chin strap penguins. Sooooo cute!
I am glad you have been feeling mom's presence while on your journey. She is most definitely with all of us every single day.
Good luck on the next leg of your adventure and stay safe!
Love you lots.

YOUR MOM Tim, I have absolutely no doubt that your Mom is with you - I know that my sister would not let her youngest son travel alone, SuperMom that she was. Keep her close in heart and mind, as we all do. Love, Aunty Sherry

Hi Hi Tim
It was nice meeting you and Natalia at the Torres campsite - and thanks for the tent, even though the weather in the morning wasn't particularly good to ascend to the towers.
Seems like you have had a great trip in TDP - You must have been at French valley the very same day me and my buddies were - the one sunny day inbetween (Feb 27th, I think) - it was gorgeous in the French Valley then.
Keep traveling - can't wait to read more of your reports. I have been maintaining a log of the trip as well and plan to post it soon.
Cheers

Tim! These pics are ridiculous. Clearly, am so jealous...
Now, not so much skipping and whistling in treacherous terrain or you'll hurt yourself! :) Hope the knee is doing better.
Amazing!!! Hi little bro,
Your pix are remarkable! Amazing! Superb! Unbelievable! I love the pix with peaks and the glacier pix too. Sorry to hear about your knee (you goofball!) but glad to hear you can try it again in a few weeks. I have my fingers crossed that you get an opportunity to get to Antarctica. You will LOVE it. It is the most beautiful place in the world! Love you lots. Miss you heaps. Talk soon.
Convicts! Not criminals!! Tim, next time you meet some Aussies, refer to them as convicts, not criminals. Not sure what the difference is but convicts were treated way harsher for much more minor offenses. There has to be some pride in that! I'll leave it to you to look up the differences on Google while your knee is recuperating. Sorry to hear your knee wasn't up to bounding from rock to rock, no doubt a weakness from your triathlon days. Glad to hear you'll be able to try the hike again but with a little more respect for your knees. I'm starting to sound like a sports injury prevention specialist so that's where I sign off! Great photos by the way!
BBQ's, friends, experiences Hi Tim,
I experienced my first South American BBQ the second night in Colombia and it was AMAZING!!! So many BBQ'd veggies, salads and the worlds best guacamole! Makes Aussie and Canadian BBQ's look so boring! The amazing food here has been one of my highlights! As has the friendliness of the people everywhere. Everyone goes out of their way to help whenever possible. It's amazing! Glad you are enjoying yourself and getting to experience life with the locals.
Love you lots.
Kel
Traveling solo through South America. Hitch hiking, wwoofing, conservation projects, couch surfing, trekking, surfing, kayaking, canoeing, climbing, sand boarding, horse back riding, fishing, glacier trekking, and camping! What is the significance of my profile picture? Mom and I, along with my siblings, would walk from our house to this stop sign when she had the strength. I made her walk up to and touch the sign each time. The stop sign is about 100 yards from our house. It was a short journey we would take when we could. Now, I will be traveling a distance th... full info
