Navimag Adventure
Hi Tim, Sounds like you had quite the adventure! Looks like us Stocks have really bad luck with sinking ships! Great pix. Love the shots of the scenery. Very beautiful! Enjoy your time down there. Lots of love, Kel

Navimag!
I thought my Navimag experience was epic but running into an island clearly takes the cake! So glad that you decided to take in the fjords instead of a stinky long bus trip. Patagonia has some of the most majestic scenery I have ever witnessed and I live by the Rockies! Enjoy Puerto Natales, be sure to check out the pizza place kiddy corner to the church in the square. Safe travels Mr. Stock and look out for unassuming islands. Also, please crack an Austral Calafate for me.

Dat a boy!
Hey buddy, Glad to hear you've started on your own (and that you're learning Spanish). Also, happy to hear you're getting some "you" time and that you're tough enough to tell us about it. We're all behind you buddy... and remember, if you're not winning you're losing. You said that, now it's my life motto! ;) Miss ya!

Kudos on solo camping trip!
Hi Tim, Another great blog! I'm glad you were able to get away from the city and take some time to reflect and connect with nature! Sounds like a really good experience - minus the 24km hike in blistering heat (yuck!). Your blog got me thinking about all the great memories we had at Lilac and West Hawk with mom, family and friends. I sometimes have a hard time imagining how mom and Debbie handled 8 children all by themselves all summer long! Must have been crazy for them! I remember watching the northern lights with mom and everyone from our bay at Lilac one night and I remember all the trips to the hospital for various things (hornet stings, fire wounds, etc.!). Mom sure had her hands full with us kids eh?! She would be happy to know that you are still enjoying the camping experience! Can't wait for the next blog. Lots of love, Big Sis

TIME AND REALITY
Hi Tim - The reality of losing Linda can only set in with time - your Mom, my baby sister - we allow ourselves to accept truth, only a bit at a time - that's what keeps us sane. Some people take years to do that, the cubicle they've built around themselves is solid steel - but the first step comes with allowing yourself to peep outside it on occasion. That's what you are doing. I'm in tune with your journey, and I agree that everything does have its time. Take care. Love your blogs.

This is a great and honest piece of writing, yet sad. I'd hope this sobering perspective could be seen in North America more frequently and actually take root on a large scale, but this will most likely not happen soon, if at all. Thank you for sharing this.

Interesting perspective
Great blog Tim. I liked reading your perspective and think you would probably think the same about several developing nations and even developed countries around the world.....unfortunately the 'American' way of life seems to be something that people strive for all around the world, which often seems to result in a loss of their own unique identity. I suppose it's worth considering the benefits of progress to a country like Chile such as improved health care and education systems and quality of life for a lot of people.....unfortunately it seems these improvements are usually only beneficial to the upper class, often leaving an even larger gap between the rich and the poor. Look forward to reading your next blog from a very different perspective - rural Chile! LOVE YOU!

Go Tim!
Already your sense of humanity has been expanded to place priority on the most important thing in life - family. I follow you with pride. SG

Great entry, Tim. It all sounds amazing. Wish I could have seen the firework show!! And I think you should call yourself Motown instead of Winnipeg. Or claim Pegger once Andrew leaves. Seriously send your camera home. I can use my warranty to fix it. Remember when you bought the same camera as me?!? Mine is still working ;) Have you told Andrew about your safety tshirt?!!?!?
