General info: Currency: Thai Baht Cost of living: 1500ml bottle of water 15B, 1kg of papaya 70B, street food meal 40-70B This time my visit coincided with the begining of Songkran festival- Thai New Year which is celebrated as our national Śmigus Dyngus. People are pouring water on each other what represents purification and washing away sins and bad luck. They also dance to the music in the streets and gift Buddha and buddhist monks in temples. I noticed as well Thai people wearing flowery shirts. The Songkran word meaning is change or transformation and is borrowed from Hindu January tradition to celebrate Spring arrival. The risk to get wet didn't discourage me from a trip to neighbouring Buddha temples. Remeber about respectful clothes that cover knees and arms if you plan to visit temples. I ... read more

General info: Currency: New Zealand dollar Cost of living: 1500ml bottle of water 2,5$, bottle of wine 15$, meal in regular restaurant 15-20$ Another flight to beautiful New Zealand, this time without stops, was not only the longest flight in my life, but so far the longest existing direct filght in the world. This visit was dedicated to explore the city and do some local shopping. By local shopping i mean products made of honey produced only by local bees from manuka bush flowers or cosmetics made of local thermal mud with skin detoxicating properties. Also very popular are rejuvenating creams and masks made of sheep placentas, but let's say I wasn't tempted. Main point of my sightseeing was Mount Eden. The view of the city from the top was amazing, as well i was impressed ... read more

General info: Currency: New Zealand dollar Cost of living: 1500ml bottle of water 2,5$, bottle of wine 15$, meal in regular restaurant 15-20$ First impression in New Zealand was great weather, exotic lush vegetation but as well very hilly region. Wherever you look- slopes and valleys. Street are sometimes so steep that a thought of stumble is terrifying. A walk there is a good dose of workout. Going to the point, the purpose of my visit was a trip to known from The Lord Of the Rings and Hobbit series, beautiful and green village- Hobbiton. Early morning me and three companions hit the road from Aucklad to Matamata. It took about 2,5 hours, but was definitely worth it. General info: Currency: Thai Baht Cost of living: 1500ml bottle of water 15B, 1kg of papaya 70B, street food meal 40-70B Bangkok (in Thai "The City of Angels") is the capital of Thailand. It's not only the largest and most populous city of Thailand, but one of the largest cities in the World. Very famous and often visited by tourists for multiple points of interest. Things I did during my first 24h in Thailand was visit to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market in Ratchaburi, walk the Silom Street, Thai massage and late evening in Khao San Road. The Damnoen Saduak is the most famous floating market, located about 100km southwest of Bangkok. Canal was built by King Rama IV of the Chakri Dynasty and opened in 1868 to travel between Ratchaburi and Samutsakhon Provinces. It is crowded ... read more
