We inherited a bicycle from someone who's leaving, and oh, the joy of mobility! It's a townie bike: fenders, basket, chain-guard, bell, built-in lock, kick stand. It's very old, the chain rattles against the guard making a gross and embarrassing sound, the rear brakes are useless, the tires need air every week, but it works. So for my first big ride out of town, a warm sunny afternoon, I was inspired by the In & Around Mysore tourist publication we picked up somewhere along the way, a 50-page pamphlet chock full of ideas of things to do, such as: Kukkarahalli/Karanji/Limgambudi Lakes: These lakes are the most prominent lakes in Mysore City.
