Palace Estates sits at the base of Tadiandamol, the highest peak in the state (1745m), which we climbed on Friday.
After enjoying a couple of cups of fresh coffee (produced on the property) and the view from our balcony, we loaded up with home-made snacks and headed for the mountain.
The given directions: “Whenever you come to a fork in the path, where one part goes up and the other goes down, go up.” And up and up and up.
We took our time, partly due to view-admiration stops, partly for snacking, partly to prevent sore muscles that could interfere with yoga poses, and partly because it was hard going up up up. It took us about 5 hours, up and down. The weather held out perfectly - warm (maybe 85 at the top), sunny, and mostly clear. The view was spectacular, outstanding, awesome.
