Geo: 52.3738, 4.89095Bit of a rush getting to Gare Du Nord station - the trains are quick, but it takes a while to move between platforms and different sections of the stations. We made it on time - JUST!First class on Thalys was awesome, drinks and lunch provided :-)The 10 min walk to our hotel was a challenge, 4 wheel cases do not like cobblestones. We checked in to the Rho Hotel on Dam Square - right in the middle of Amsterdam, and around the corner from the red light district. We wandered around Amsterdam to get our bearings and found some interesting shops!Dinner at an Argentinian restaurant - yum!... read more

Geo: 46.5661, 3.33534The train to Lyon was delayed by 1 hour, so we missed our connection to Moulins by 10 mins.Stuck in Lyon station for 3 hours :-(The scenery thru the French countryside made it worthwhile. Finally checked in to our hotel and had a quick walk around Moulins.Needed some 'basic' food for dinner - meat, veggies and chips.Watched Legally Blonde 2 - in French on the TV.--------------- Wandered around Moulins the next day.Found a huge local market, but could not find any Moulins T-shirts.The clothes stalls were had mostly very stylish clothes, and the local produce stalls looked really yummy! We found a little crepe restaurant for lunch, then headed to the train back to Paris.... read more
