Geo: 18.8, 98.98Up and off to the Elephant Show. We got to watch the baby elephants take a bath!Then on to the stadium where the elephants put on a really good show. They look like they are really enjoying themselves, playing up to the crowd.We bought an elephant painting.Later, at the Umbrella factory, Kate had her handbag handpainted. VN Nong Hoi Restaurant for late lunch - really awesome Vietnamese food.Then, off to another temple with a great view of Chiang Mai.Back to Gary and Kung's for a relaxing evening.... read more

Geo: 18.8, 98.98Caught the domestic flight from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and Gary and Kung met us at the airport :-) Dropped off our gear and chatted, then lunch at a place where the locals go for lunch. No English on the menu, but the food was awesome. We ate Phad see Iew and Rad Na.After lunch, a visit to the Ban Tawai - Wood Furniture District, acres of furniture stores send workshops.Snooze for an hour to recharge the batteries.Went for a walking a drive around the estate where Gary and Kung live.Dinner = Esan-Thai Food at the Airport sporting club restaurant. Geo: 41.8955, 12.4823Two tours today, Classical Rome in the morning, then Imperial Rome In the afternoon.We walked thru a few Piazza's and took photos of fountains. Tossed a coin in the Trevi Fountain. Visited the Pantheon and St Peter's Basillica.Checked out the Roman Forum, Circus Maximus and the Aventino Hill. Saw Moses by Michelangelo, then on to the Colloseum.Out for dinner again - poor us!... read more
