Looking fit! Great photos-give a great sense of actually being there. Spectacular - must be phenomenal to actually be there! Hope you are both recuperating at least a little for the next one. Looking forward to readiing more. Stay safe. xo
Alla All good here for sure. Fare welling several groups that we saw constantly through our walk as they head back to all over the globe. Last night said bye to 2 Poles, today 2 Scots and 3 Icelanders. Sounds like the intro to a joke!
Chairlifts, how wonderful! Gosh two days and two chairlifts, I won't have to lie down after todays blog
I must say I have been loving the pics even lthough you have been hogging the selfies, but I suppose it is your blog and not Julie's. ;-)
At Last a blog I can comment on! I haven't made many comments because after reading each blog I have to go and have a lie down to recover from all that up and downing on rocks so its really nice to look at these lovely relaxing snaps. I feel so energised that I might even walk up the street and buy a coffee at the Bakery.
Thin? I have dropped weight but now I'm feeling good it should go back on again. The walk is pretty strenuous and we walk for at least 7 hours a day here so I'm not surprised but.....that's ancient history now that we have completed the circuit.
Keep up the good work It sounds like you are really in the swing of it now! The scenery really is amazing!! Have you exchanged addresses with any of your new friends?! Looking forward to the next instalment. xx
Glad you're alive Good to read another blog entry. It is sounding like hard work - but with glorious payoffs!! Do you read these comments? If yes, how do I know?
The Food I haven't been terrific since arriving and it's not the fault of the food. I have a say yard dish which was OK and last night pigs cheek, slow cooked and very good. It was,in a small mountain refuge so everyone got the same but it surprisingly good. I'm living Om gelato and good breakfasts.
Rob.
First contact Loving your work already Rob. Looks spectacular and a lot of challenging fun! Just for clarity - what countries are you going to? TMB - passes through Switzerland, Italy and France. Then the KLW is Germany. Are they the four you mean?
TMB for Alla Certainly right. Great to have you back on board. My sister, Julie and I, have from Chamonx France to Courmayeur in Italy. Today we are seriously resting. I'll get onto the blog soon, we were out of wifi for a couple of days.
Keep reading, possibly enjoying and replying.
Ciao
Rob
Quiz 1 1. Hooley Dooley
2. I know this one too, but I think I'm disqualified because I had to ask you where you were going the night before you left, and I mainly asked so I could answer other people when they asked "where's your dad going". My dismissive, but not technically incorrect answers could have got me a job in politics.
Faux quiz! Still experimenting so that was a faux quiz. And Julie asked if I could speak French? Sitting here in the Hotel de Bois breakfasting and not being able to get moving.myou should see the 'hill'we have to walk up. Well you should, we shouldn't!
Another trip of a lifetime! How many ‘trips of a lifetime’ can I have?
I'm walking the Pennine Way in England and Scotland, driving from Edinburgh down to London then training through France and Spain through Northern Morocco to Marrakech before heading back to Madrid. From there a few days in Doha on the way home. ... full info
