Appian Way
How wonderful for you to share these stories with those of us who also had uncles/aunts in the WWII. They were children fighting for OUR freedom and the countrymen whose land they tread. The Appian Way looks so much different than it did in my 7th grade Latin book (which I still have). The medieval village looks intriguing. Did you get to go up close? Do people reside there? Once again, thanks for sharing. Leaving for vacation in the am. Have a safe trip home.
