Rio - the end :( Got to our apartment right on Copacabana beach and it was lashing rain !! We took a stroll around as we r used to the rain but it got fairly heavy !! Didn't do much that day just enjoyed having an apartment and not in a hostel. Weather next day was gorg. Organised a few trips in morning and off to beach for afternoon. Next day we visited Christ the redeemer. We did this ourselves by taxi as well as the sugar loaf. Was much cheaper and handier than doing a full city tour. Taxi driver drove us to both places waited and dropped us home for 15 euro each! Handy! Oh visited each that day too :)Went down the markets on copacabana that night picked up the few magnets!! Bolivia Another plane got to by the skin of our teeth immigration slows the whole thing up! Imagine home alone in the airport!! Alot of running!!! Bolivia is the busiest place we've been so far so bit of a shock- place is huge n you can see the snowy mountains in the distance. Stayed in wild rover la paz, perferred cusco one at first but just took a day or two and settled in ! On Saturday- we headed off with gravity to do mountain biking on the worlds most dangerous road!! We started up in the snowy mountains, it was feckin freezing!! Cycled down hill for 22k on a main road... Still had a drop on the side but had barriers!! Equador Hey all,Landed fine in Quito Sunday evening. Flight wasn't too bad got few hrs kip. Quito is literally built in a mountain don't know how they got the runway in ! Stayed in lively hotel right in one if main squares but unfortunately it was either a holy day or maybe it's every Sunday but no alcohol served! Sq was very quiet, girls enjoyed their coffees anyway n got a bit of food in n had an early night. Oh met 2 girls from Kk in the first bar (spotted by my lovely hoodie!!) Arrived in montanita n they had no booking! Got a room anyway, cats was practically sleeping in the roof. Warm here but very cloudy n quiet!
