my email is xlordxisxlove@hotmail.com

cant wait to see you guys!
Hi Everyone, I miss you!!! Dear Class,
I am having a great time on my trip. I am seeing lots of wonderful and amazing things. I enjoy hearing what you think about my trip. I hope you guys had a great time in Orcas Island. I bet you saw lots of cool things. I figured out the math questions and it was really easy. First you take the basket with 55 crayons and add 5 to the basket with 25 crayons and add 20 to the basket with 10 crayons. You need to move 25 crayons.
I am in India now and there are lots of things to do. I went to a park and I saw elephants, deer, monkies, birds, water buffalos and otters in their natural habitat, no cages or walls!
I miss you all and I really want to see you again soon! Have fun singing for the AirFrance ceremony!
Have a great vacation!
Your classmate,
Yohan
what a wonderful place! The colors are so brilliant, the sites so magical, seems as if I can smell all those spices! We are going to leave tomorrow on our own quest for spirituality - St. Louis! Well, it is named for a saint!! We will spend a week there with stops here and there. Had a ultrasonic scan today to find out why I have been having pain attacks - really since fall of 2005, but more frequent this year. Seems I have to have my gallbladder taken out as it has stones and the "attacks" will just get more severe. SO...go back to doctor on July 5 to decide on plan. Just have to stay away from all things spicy and all things with a fat content. I'm fine-just glad to know what the problem was. Didn't say anything-didn't want you to worry.
I can't imagine how boring life will be when you have to come home!! Maybe by that time, you will be ready.
Glad to know that you are all well (except for the occasional leach) and haven't had to use your store of antibiotics! I wonder what the people there know about your life at home. Do they comprehend how different life is elsewhere?
Will look forward to your next BIG ADVENTURE!
Love you all!
Mom and Ken
Bonjour! Yohan,
Happy Memorial Day! (sorry it's a little late)
Did you figure out the math problem we sent you from the WASL?
Brenda Gurung came to give us a presentation about Nepal just a little while ago so we knew what your last post was really talking about and that you were just there. That was pretty cool. She talked to us and showed us slides of Pokhara and Kathmandu, along with a region called Mustang and a village called Jhong. (Do you remember her? She did poetry with us last year when she visited.)
This week we had tests every single day! (From Christina and Beatrice - we're getting ready for progress reports and since we'll be gone next week....)
We're approaching our trip to Orcas Island. We'll be going to a camp called Camp Orkila. We'll have a true visit with nature. We'll miss you there. We got our maps and puppets back and we just finished our historical fiction book reports. Our newpapers look really nice. Bradley even put YOU into one of his articles. You are a junior knight from a town called Alexandre (he did a medieval newspaper). We hope you have a nice and safe trip to India.
Always, Your Class
Thanks for the wonderful blog! Hi all:
Wow - I just reread your blog entry on Nepal. It really "took" me there and your stay sounds wonderful! I hope you continue to find many memories to keep with you the rest of your lives. And, I just have to add, I am so envious of you!
We are all fine and winding up the end of the school year. It's really been a long one, and I am actually looking forward to no lunches to pack or homework to lord over. The weather has been BEAUTIFUL this year - very little rain and HOT. It was 87 yesterday - and not even June yet!
I am burned out on the school change situation. It is, thankfully, coming to a close. It looks like both boys will move to Meridian Park Elementary next year (175th and Meridian) to the Hi Cap program. I met a boy there yesterday who told me he is French - both parents are from France. I didn't get his name, but wondered if you know them.
We spent Memorial Day weekend with Jaime and family on Vashon Island which was SOOOOOOO nice. Eli has 2 more weekends of basketball, then I hope we'll be a Suncadia - at least until our kayak trips.
Kim has been working hard - what are you guys - slave drivers :)? I haven't seen much of her - could it possibly be select soccer, too? We have been running stairs once a week - we seem to be able to squeeze that in somehow every week.
I miss, miss, miss you all! Johanna said no piano recital this spring but in the fall. Hopefully, Tatiana will be able to join in. I'll be interested in hearing all you got about India - especially Bangalore - since I hope to get there one day (and not in the too distant future?)
Hope all remains GREAT with all of you. I look forward to hearing from you again soon!
Lots of love and sunscreen, Patty
Thank You Dear Tatiana,
I wanted to write you and tell you that we all miss you very much! Every time I see that you have added to your website I print out the pages and bring it to class. The children could not believe how big the fruit was in your photo! Thank you for sharing your journey with us through photos, writing on your internet site, and postcards. We are getting close to the end of the year. The class is busy preparing for our spectac and since it is so warm here, we enjoy eating lunch outside and longer recesses. We will have our last warm fuzzy party next week!
I hope you continue to have a wonderful trip. Thank you again for keeping us updated, we love hearing from you!
Glorious Nepal Hi you guys...it's is so great to feel like we are with you nearly every step of your trip. Every time I read a new blog I just want to quit my jobs and buy a ticket on the next international flight to anywhere. This is such a great adventure. I hope Serge and I can do the same some day (with or without children). On that front... we have started the adoption process and are getting the paperwork in order; it's very exciting, scary, emotional etc...We haven't decided on a country yet but with reflection and research I am sure it will come to us when time for that decision arises. We love Seattle. The days are long now and we even have sun and warmth. I have found 2 great jobs, one in a rheumatology clinic in downtown (near Swedish) and the other in a new medical spa in Issaquah. It gives me variety and keeps me on my toes. We really miss you and can't wait to have you in our lives again upon your return. You will return so changed and we can't wait to share in the wisdom you've gained from all these experiences. Take care. Gros, gros bisous.
Lyne
we're thinking of you Wow! your stories and photos keep us going in our seemingly boring life in Seattle. Send my wishes to Eric et Marie.
Tatiana and Yohan: you're more brave than me and Kyle.
Love
Michael
Wonderful journey Hi Cori,
It's so fun getting an update from you about your travels through the world! The pictures are beautiful and the stories are so interesting and educational since we haven't been to almost every place that you have now gone! I had to say that the Cliff's of Mohr were stunning, but it looks like the mountains that you were seeing may have beaten even that! How exciting to have your kids experience these things so young in their lives...hopefully, they'll always remember them to tell stories!
Oh and another Gaul has been born! Regan had her 2nd child on Friday...baby girl (imagine that!) and named her Madison. All is happy, healthy and doing good!
Love ya, Whitney
Namaste, donc!
Wow!! So beautiful!!! Your travels are so inspiring! Theo loves to look at the pictures of your travels. What a wonderful trip for all of you!!
We will be riding bikes in the San Juans this week...I don't think that we'll see a sari, though :). Glad to know that you are all still marvelling at the world and enjoying your trip!

An amazing few weeks Dear Yohan,
Our WASL was okay, pretty easy for some, and a lot of fun for most of the students. Here is a problem from the WASL that we want you to try to do:
A teacher has 3 baskets. There are 55 crayons in one basket, 25 in the second basket, and 10 in the last basket. How many would you have to move out and put in each basket to get the same amount in each basket?
You missed our Francophonie Celebration at school. Our class organized and played a Scrabble game with second, third, and fourth grade. We also went to play other games in YPK, first grade, and third grade. On the last day we had an afternoon of big games - jeu de l'oie, dictee, and lecture quizz (sorry, this won't let us type in the accents). Then we had a big snack - gouter (again no accent). It was a lot of fun and the food was delicious.
Today we saw Lauren's play, The Masque of Beauty and the Beast. It was really good, loud, and funny. Lauren performed really well and her favorite scene was with a fake onion that was supposed to make her cry. She cried very dramatically for a long time, rrrreeeeaaaalllllllyyy llllllooouuuuddddlllllyyyy! She played a greedy, evil sister of Beauty (she was a humingbird).
We miss you a lot and we hope you are seeing a lot of fun and interesting sights. We are learning a lot about the places you are visiting. Thank you for writing to us.
Bye for now,
Your class, Beatrice, and Christina :-)
WOW Dear Yohan,
Thank you for the letter you wrote to me. It was very nice of you! It seems like you have seen a lot of great places. You are so lucky that it is dry there. It has rained here the last couple of days. That fruit that you were standing by was HUGE! Did you eat any of it? That waterfall looked pretty big and cool. We just had 3 days of Francophonie. It was very interesting. On the last day of Francophonie we were able to eat food people brought. I missed you! Your Friend, Connor
whats a wat? Sounds so unreal! Pictures are wonderful=so colorful and seem to be brimming with life. Yohan- you are really something-you find kids to play a sport of some kind in every country! So much fun for you! Tatiana, your description of the butterflies was amazing! I can't imagine what it would be like to walk through a cloud of them!
Cori, it was wonderful to talk with you on Mother's Day. You are so thoughful! New carpet in-looks good now on to other things-
Just watched the film Last King of Scotland-story about Idi Amin in Uganda during the 70's. Very facinating story-but bloody. You'll have to see it sometime. Kids, Grandpa and I are going to see Spiderman 3 tomorrow. B ig HIT in the states. Made more money in one weekend than ANY other film ever!
What vibes are you getting during your trip re: Pres. Bush? What about feelings about American people?
Can't wait to read your next chapter!
Love to all,
Mom

Lovely to meet you in Vang Vieng! Thanks for sending us your travelblog! We really enjoyed meeting you here at The Elephant Crossing Hotel in Vang Vieng and will follow your travels! ENJOY!
After living in Seattle Washington for 11 years, we have decided to pack up our bags and leave for new horizons, at least for the year. Our choice, Paris!! This was appealing for us because we will be able to return to Seattle with a direct flight if needed, we are close to family in the south of France and we are also very central in Europe which allows us to travel to England, Holland and Belgium with ease. This is also a prime time in the kid's lives to try out a new school without them hating us for the rest of their lives! After years of education at the French/American school, we are goi... full info
