Friday, July 21 2006 Boiling. Hot. Sweltering. There is no other way to describe the heat and humidity here. I have been drinking 6-8 bottles of water a day; today, I had two just with my breakfast. I started to feel sick during breakfast so I took my time there and enjoyed the high-powered fan right above my table. I had breakfast in a fabulous little French-inspired cafe, recommended by many travel guides. I sat by the open window and watched the Hanoi morning take shape. For $2.50, I had French toast, coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice and 2 bottles of water. The menu looked superb, lots of fresh salads, pastas, baguettes.
