Amazing Incredible pics! I am so jealous, Ann Marie. I can't believe the trip is practically over. Happy to have you home, though. Can't wait to hear more about this awesome trip.
YAYYYY :) anne marie, i am finally getting over my jealousy enough to be proud of you for doing this amazing trip. i hope your trip home is completely uneventful and that your interview is perfect.
*loves*
Incredible! I have so enjoyed reading about your every adventure. I can't believe it's almost over! But also can't wait to see you back on our side of the world. Travel safe!
what a trip nathan and anne maire, your trip looks and sounds amazing ..a place which makes you more understanding of man hardness and gentilness ..take care ...
LOOKS AMAZING Hey kids ... Nathan and Ann Marie (is that correct?) ... haven't the time to REALLY read indepth but at a glance it looks like you guys are having a wonderful time. What fantastic pictures. You remind me of ME Ann Marie (if I am saying your name properly) ... I'm always the one TAKING the pictures so there rarely are pictures of me ... appears to be the same situation for you. Nathan ... you look MMMAARRRRRRRRVELOUS!!!
good tunes and good times! AM that old bus we took in the bahamas was a decked out SUV compared to the bus in your pictures!!
I am glad you both are having such an amazing time, I am so jealous I can hardly stand it. But... now when I make my journey to Southeast asia, my route is all mapped out!! Although I think I'll skip the leaches and cockroaches.
Anne-Marie! I'm finally getting around to reading your blog entries (bar exam craziness, then traveling myself) - I'm enjoying them so much! First, what AMAZING pictures in this most recent entry - wow. Second, the shoes! And the clothes! I am beside myself with jealousy over your new custom wardrobe. Third, I loved your badminton story. I had a similar experience myself playing soccer in a little village when I was traveling in Costa Rica years and years ago, and I'd still rank it as one of the best hours of my life.
I'm so glad that you and Nathan are having such a wonderful time! I look forward to seeing you at the wedding in September.
It is certainly beyond words. many who read this blog may have no idea about this time or this place and what happened, but i work with people who lost their entire family and more in this place. ITs hard to believe this happened and the world stood by doing nothing. It took the Vietnamese invasion of Cambodia to finally end it. Today there are many war criminals still at large in Cambodia, who are responsible. This execution of men women, children and the aged , wiped out almost a 3rd of the population. The worst of sins.
Hey Nathan, it pretty cool there eh! Nathan, good to see you made it and you are well on your way to enjoying SE Asia. I really is a different world over there, we have no idea what happens there because our news never covers much about that region. If you want to learn more about the Cambodian genocide there is a famous book called "First the killed my father", it is a tough read from an emotional standpoint, but it is the Cambodian version of Anne Franks Diary basically. It was written by a girl who lived and survived the genocide by going into hiding etc. Anyway enough about that..take care of yourselves over there, and enjoy the rest of your stay
We miss you! I'm having such a great time reading your travel blog; I love living vicariously through you! Keep the eloquent entries and amazing photos coming, you wise, worldly woman. Stay safe, and have fun!
xo,
Sara
Hi Nathan and AnneMarie WOW! I just returned from three weeks in Italy and followed your Mom's link to this site. A lot has happened since I last spoke with your family and I am thrilled to see you having such a great time. Both of you! AnneMarie you are a natural writer and are doing an amazing job of this trip! I will follow your travels and keep you in my prayers for a fun and safe journey. Isn't it amazing how much the whole world still seems to be the same no matter where you are?
Big hugs to both of you !
Valerie
Its great to see Nathan made it in ok and that you have a partner for travel (poor guy, will probably end up carrying 4 tonnes of footware after one of your sprees.....but then this is asia, and they make tiny shoes...heehee) Anne it was very nice for you to visit Muoi's family like that...it made her week.
also glad you are discivering the good and bad, its important in understanding cultures to know everything and ballance it. Stay safe Pupetta!
OMG I'm so jealous! You *have* to take pics of your clothes when you get back! My friend also had some clothes made and had them shipped back as she continued on her trek. They are gorgeous!
