Sorry to hear about your injury! Yikes! When I was in the Dominican, they told us to be careful when on their motorbikes, or we'd end up with a "Dominican tattoo" (a burn from the muffler like what you got).
The pictures look gorgeous!
great place, right? I was very happy to know that you love Hanoi. I was born and grown up here and I wish all the world to enjoy my beloved hometown like you do!
Beautiful country, isn't it? You will fall in love with my country if you stay long enough to explore the whole country. There are people from all over the world open their bussiness just to keep themselves to stay as permanant resident. I hope one day I can get rid of my fear to go back for a visit.
You are such a great writer; I loved the history and passion in this journal entry! I really think you should join in on the early morning aerobics...what a great memory that would be! Great mental image of the badminton game! :) And my god. The SHOES. :)
SHOES! i see the shoe love in your eyes. You look fantastic and like you're having a wonderous time; I'm insane with the jealousy. the street cafes and street carts and all sorts of other foods look amazing, too. I might just have to plan a trip to asia at some point now!
Terrific! Pimpa looks awesome, but I think I would have been on the first flight home after seeing that spider! You're much braver that I am :) Keep these stories coming - they're terrific. Be safe.
