Anyway, we are heading to Sydney on May 5 doing 3 weeks with Susan's parents so on an itinerary as opposed to backpacking. Your Blogs You should be a travel writer. Your blogs are entertaining and I get a great visual of what you are doing and what you have seen from each one of them. I'm so happy for you and a bit envious, too. You GO GIRL!
Comments! Ali, your comments are all so sweet! Thanks so much for the comments and the interest in the blog and my life!! It means the world to hear from you and everyone's comments!! xoxo!
response to "about time" I know!!! I have been having to much FUN here to take the time to keep up on it. But that is not a bad thing..hehe.
And you are right about the beauty...this might be the best yet! I am still deciding though :)
About time! It is about time you updated your blog! I check daily and needed and update! Glad you are having such an amazing time. I have never been to a more beautiful place than New Zealand.
Horse trading on the Banks Peninsula track!! Dear Tara,
What a wonderful review of our lovely walk together around the Banks Peninsula!!Although we really had to boot it to get Joan to the Airport in time, we all had a great time together.
Our best memory of the trip was when you found us at lunch on Day 1, apparently trying to trade you in for a bland, moody German backpacker who seemed to have no personality whatsoever!! The 4 day people were considering our offer to trade you in for him, but they just couldn't come up with a dollar value that was high enough for us!!
It turns out that you really are a 'million dollar babe' when it comes to your tramping companionship, Tara! We all chatted non-stop for 2 days with hardly a break, and with such wonderfully funny stories to tell!
Anyone that gets to spend time travelling with you in the future is truely blessed!! Enjoy the World, Tara, and maybe we'll see you down the track!! Chris and Lois
Hey girl, I'm sitting here with a glass of wine catching up on where in the world is Tara before I leave for Spain . It sounds like you are having a fantastic time, I love it. Keep having fun and be safe. Can't wait to catch up when I get back, your blog makes me laugh everytime I open it. What in the world can you get yourself into next.... can't wait to find out. Love you! Miss you!
Thank you! Tara,
I feel truly blessed just knowing you!
I love hearing all about your experiences.....You're such a beautiful person with so much energy and love......
Thank you sooo much for sharing!
Take care and enjoy your travels.
Much love, Mandi
Interesting insights and awakening... I enjoyed reading through your blog entries and this summation, You have scratched the surface as a tourist, maybe next time you will "live" as a local and get a little further into the culture...maybe volunteer somewhere...or quit your job and teach English? Imagine a person from Thailand or Vietnam who comes to the USA for the first time (for 2 weeks, or so) and what they might think? Thailand is a puzzle that can never be truly solved by a person from the West on holiday. Great blog...
WOW!!!!!!! Tara....I don't even know where to begin!!! Ok.. Your mom was just in the salon yesterday and we are always asking whats new with you, cuz, well, ya know, there always is something new! Ok now Vietnam!!!! Your mom emailed me your blog and I just have to say OH MY GOD!!!!!! You are truly blessed and should continue to do this as long as you possibly can!!!!! Most people can only dream of such an adventure!!! If what you are doing is to "find yourself" let me just say that if you're having trouble here's the truth....GUTSY, DETERMINED, CARING, WATCHFUL, SPIRITED, are just a careful few to touch the surface of who you are! I haven't really talked with you in years and none of that have i gotten from the amazing pics and stories i have just read...they are from already knowing you!! Your adventures are truly amazing and i look forward to living thru you for a while longer! I think all of us do! Just wanted you to know while you're "out there".....look inside....you know who you are!!!!! Be Safe!!! Love Vicki
GOOD JOB Ok- I was having anxiety reading this. Great job- you know I dropped scuba diving in college( first of all who takes scuba in college?) Anyway- I was so terrified. Miss you! Everything looks so interesting.
WOW! Love to go to your blog and find a new entry! Everything looks amazing! After I have this baby, forget the gym - I want to go to Thailand and colon cleanse (well maybe), hike, kayak, dive - you look great! Although considering I'll have a newborn and toddler I guess Thailand is out of the picture for a while, I'll be lucky if I can make it to the gym. Miss you soooo much and love seeing that smile and your face and that you are alive and well! xoxo
