Hi, Sat. PM! So glad that you're enjoying your time away from your site! Birthday wishes to your friend. Sheryl has officially retired from the PO now; had her "congrats" dinner @ Applebee's this evening. SUPER turn-out!! COLD here....like, 14*! Got a little snow last night, so pretty on the route today! Love you! Thanks and more later!! xoxoxo
not too early it's not too early at all to be thinking about it. in fact, take it from me, now is exactly the time you start thinking about it...just a thought.
Your BEST entry yet!!! Molly! YES, YOU DID!!!! Ha Ha! You always set your personal goals so high.........and you always find a way to reach them!
You are so totally awesome!! Your video came through just great, and FUN. Your pics are amazing!! Thank You! Hope you're enjoying Estelli' and feeling healthy again. ?? Love You!
It was niceto see people really smile! My wife and I own Playa Roca Beach Hotel in Las Penitas 13 miles west of Leon on the Pacific Ocean, see playaroca.com., and I left back to California last month to try and tie up loose ends in the US. I got to see the inaguration yesterday, and am so happy for a change to say, I too, am glad to be an American. Without hope there is dispare, and I have hope for the US, Nicaragua, and the world today that hasn't existed for a long time.

Changes are here As a proof to the world that the changes are for real in America I believe that someone should initiate legal action against former president George W. Bush. for all the lives lost in the middle east. That is my opinion and I think that would be a great message of prosperity.
yes, life & death, here and there Yeah, I'd be interested in hearing more on the 'local' customs regarding death. Even here on Spencer Creek, customs and beliefs vary so much. Huh!...even in one family! You've done much more extensive reading on the subject than any one other person I know, that I figure you to be my guru! Eh?? ;)
NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO TAKE OFFENSE TO THE ABOVE STATEMENT! me
Molly, I don't know how, but.... every now and then I just totally MISS one of your blog entries. I was just rereading some of your previous thoughts when I came across Jan. 8th. MOLLY! I have been far too out-of-touch as of late with Granddad down here and all. I had not seen this one. You were having a severely "down" day and, had I known or seen or been here for you, I would have phoned as soon as I'd read your entry. I am sorry. Love you miss you. Loved YOUR surprise call at the P.O.!!!! XOXOXO
oh, (shudder), Molly!!!! ohmymollymollymollymolly. I know that you never liked Cat Stevens' song, "Wild World", but I do hum it to you lots, even though I know that you can't hear me. Of course, it truly wasn't 'about' snakes and beetles and mosquitos, I know, but STILL.....
May I, at the very least, send you some OFF! ? Love you.
ugh Molly---you are one brave cookie! I want you to make sure there are no holes in your mosquito netting! What a day you had. Hang in there, girl. Thinking of you in CO---love, lori
Great pictures, Honey! Beautiful! OK. So, I need to 'enroll' w/Facebook to see the rest, huh? Your brother, kinda like, FORBIDS me to do so! Ha! Makes one puh-ritty "curious", huh? Ha Ha! Errr....is that MYSPACE that I'm thinking of? ANYWAY,...loving these! Thank you, Molly. So glad that you all had such a much-needed break. Bet you heard on-site stories GALORE! Here's to a GREAT BRAND NEW YEAR! xoxoxo
SpaƱol I can help you with spanish. I mean I am aware you are speaking more spanish than me at the moment but I am confident I can help. Mucha suerte.
Too bad you couldn't share some fruitcake with us. I had no idea you were nearby. I spent navidades with my comadre in San Lucas. Lots of boxes of American Candy, even a Costco Fruitcake. Well I remember the same feelings as a young PCV in the early 70s. So much has changed, yet much has not. YOu will have similar sentiments when you come back stateside. I sure miss the tortillas and eating dinner in the kitchen. And having people bringing up remembrances of me that I suspect may be fabricated. stick it out. It's worth it.
Chips Nice to know you had a good Christmas and an awesome time at the beach for New Years. Here where I live in MI is freezing cool so I am kind of celoso. By the way the word for straw in Nicaragua I believe is Pajilla I think in Mexico is Popote so it confuses me sometimes. And the Chips are called Sun Chips and they are these yumm curly oven baked corn chips (my favorites) and yeah food is in my mind too :) Feliz 2009 to you Adios
ahhhhhhh OK. The blog, the email, the pics.......NOW I feel better! It's ALWAYS so good to hear from you. Glad you had a really good
Christmas Day, Honey! I DO understand (and envy!) your pickup bed ride! Sounds great to me. We'll be looking and enjoying the photos over and over again, I'm sure. They make me feel closer to you, somehow! THANK YOU!
I'm so sorry, Molly! So sorry. I still SEE your knife in its place in the KIA! Burnt orange and SHARPPPPP! What brand was it? And,...how many blades and how much extra 'stuff' in it? NOW I know what to get you for Christmas (the little shit!).
Love your blogs. Yeah, Ben WHO? Ha Ha!
I think I'll send your Dad down as an Xmas gift...he needs a break! Seriously! :)
WHAT???!! Well, FAR too much info to respond to right here and now, Molly!
MAJOR house remodeling job!! What $hould we $end to help you with thi$ project, "if" you undertake it? WOULD be a good learn-by-example project for your little town! Or, how about some nice, fine, screen (for door, window, ceiling)? No fudge? No vitamin/flavor? No smallish Xmas wrapping? No cards? Is Silvia SURE? Humph. Wanna meet you @ the beach!! :) XO!!
Random Sounds to me like you are becoming a Nicaraguence which is good, Nicaraguences are known as Chochos by other countries from the region (Hondureans = Catrachos, Guatemaleans = Chapines, El Salvadoreans = Guanacos, and so on). Anyway I am sure you can find Qtips in a Farmacia they call them Isopos and the farmacy should have abate too but even better you can put little fishes in la pila to do the job :).
Feliz Navidad to you.
