Not a Pronghorn??? Unfortunately "Not a Pronghorn" is indeed a Pronghorn antelope. I love that part of the country... Utah is one of the best hiking places... I'm enjoying your travel blog a great deal!
Sounds like a good day I have a blog on here too and just came across yours one day while browsing. Sounds like you all had a great day! Just wanted to say I stayed at the Cedar City KOA once. It was really nice and I slept great there. Hope you all have a great time and the weather clears up!! =)
Fun - we were just there We went to Missouri over spring break and took in Truman and Wilson Creek. Wasn't quite as warm at the end of March when we went!
No idea The weather in Alaska was perfect as far as we were concerned. We're from Minnesota, though, so I have no idea what to expect for August and September.
considering ourselves lucky We were very happy to see the bull moose. Then we heard from Jeff's parents that they saw 11 moose yesterday while driving near Tok.
temperature Hi,
My husband and I are hikers. We prefer temperatures 60-70 degrees F. What kind of weather conditions can we find in August and september? Thanks
Pictures The pictures are just great. Fun to see all the beautiful scenery. We got the trailer home this morning. Now I can start filling it for Dad. Post card from day 12 came today. Grandma B called last night and was so delighted-they got 2 post cards yesterday and the boys were on the one. She can't figure out how you have a post card with them on it-tried to explain that it is a picture and not sure if she believes me or not. She could make postcards too if she wanted to with her printer-am I right? Enjoy your trip home. Mom and Dad.
Maybe next time I don't know if Jeff considered it or not. He had planned for us to drive to the Arctic Circle tomorrow, so my guess is not. We already know many things we'd like to come back and do or do again. Liam has decided, though, that our next vacation should be a cruise.
Question Have you guys considered driving Denali Highway to the East when you're done with Denali Park? I had several people it's spectacular, but I couldn't fit it in my timeframe. Next time I will.
Jersey girl Cute picture. Bet the boys enjoyed playing and talking with her. Fun for them to meet so many new friends. Liam-I hope the bump on your head is better and be careful of that door. Hi Cole-looks like you are having lots of fun.Hi to Mom and Dad.
Whale Photos It is extremely hard to get a good picture of whale breaches, isn't it? I've been to Maui 3 times when the Humpbacks are down there and have only gotten 1 decent picture of a breach even though I've probably seen 15-20 breaches. You just never know when or where they will do it.
Happy 4th of July Grandma was delighted with your call. She couldn't believe it was that easy to hear you all the way from Alaska. It was a beautiful day and about 45 people were there.
Wow!! Awesome bald eagles and sea lions! The eagle enjoying his swim is too cute :)
My dad sent me the link to your blog, after reading all his Alaska adventures and now yours, I'm hooked... I'm going to start planning my trip now :)

Welcome to my travel blog!
My husband Jeff and I waited six years after getting married before taking a vacation. It might have had something to do with being poor graduate students, or perhaps that we drove a 1991 Geo Metro. Anyway, we've tried to make up for it since. By the end of August 2008, he and I had been in the 48 contiguous states, as well as Hawaii. Along the way, we added Liam (2004) and Cole (2006), who had seen 47 and 46 states, respectively, by the end of October 2008.
Eventually, we hope to travel outside of the United States. While we adore Canada, it barely counts as a... full info

Bryce vs Zion
Thanks! We did Bryce yesterday and Zion today. Although we were able to do a lot more hiking today, I prefer Cedar Breaks and Bryce.
