The bubbly's on ice Well done, an amazing trip bought to life by some great Blogs. I bet you didnt think you could write a story with over 26,000 words in it. Chris Moyes had to do 27,000 words for his book (as he keeps saying on his show....not that I listen you understand), so one more entry and you can go to print...
Well done to Tommy, it's amazing how a car can seem to take on a personality. Well done to June, she must need some theropy after 1 year with you Nik. You should be back in time to see the other Blues stuff the Reds in Moscow. Will make up for losing the title to them today.
See you soon (am in tenerife but back on 16th)
War Hero Buenos Dias Nick, LOL, good discription of our (flunkies) war effort to liberate the free people on the Falkland Islands, and also St Helena and Tristan Da Cunah.
Looks like your having fun over there
Hasta Luego

Tight Wad Hi June, just to let you know you'd be wise to hang onto those pennies and keep that purse shut. Your coming back to bread @ £1.38 per loaf and 6 organic eggs @ £2.00 per box. Poor old Tommy. I can feel the tears welling up now as I type. I felt I knew him so well. I think we know what car/van you'll be purchasing on your return. That's if you can afford the gas guzzling road tax and £1.10/20 per litre petrol to fuel it that is! If you can't, I'm sure we won't take the piss too much if Nik arrives at work in a Sinclair C5. Looking forward to seeing you both. Well actually not June, cos with all that altitude training I won't get within staggering distance of her in next years London Marathon. And on second thoughts, not Nik either. Staff circuits have been relatively sweat free since he's been gone and his office smells much better too. Claire actually wears deoderant, cleans her teeth and doesn't fart as much as he does. See you soon love Neet X
Congrats Well done the both of you, and still together and talking ha ha, Nik you need to take a photo of that 6 pack as a week in Bueno aries eating all that meat and drinking beer ( if June opens your purse that is ) will give you a one pack, like mine. Mind you June get him on the dance floor and practice that Tango i can imagine it now. Have a good time before its back to reality and councilling.
Percy
P.S Give Eva Perone my love
The lenghts you go to getting the right amount of ice for your gin and tonic! Can't believe you have managed all of those miles and you still both have a genuine smile on your face. The pictures of the glacier are amazing, John has just been studying yours in school! What fantastic reading your blogs have been, like Amy said, you really must keep writing about your escapades, it could be a best seller one day! Take care both of you. Ruth X ps Colin and I are off to Wembly to watch the blues on May 17th!! Watch this space
The saviour of the Falklands I seemed to remember that you only just got somewhere near the Falklands after the war finished after breaking 2 boats on the way !! We are back in UK now, it seems we were a bit early as snow came. When are you due back ? You must be fed up with each other by now.... Blogs sound great and Tommy has performed well for you. Bet you cant wait to see some boring rain and traffic jams. S,S and K
Nice abs Hey Nik that year diet is doing the trick you can see those abs now, We in the U.K have just had a mad weather weekend with snow all over the place some places up to 5 inches so dont rush to get back. The good thing is the clocks have gone forward so more light in the evenings, good to see both of you are well and on fine form.
All the best
Percy and Sharon
Argentina Carter/Robbo,
Titi-Carter was a great re-cap, but remember 'The War' while in Argentina, I know Carter was not there in 82 but I was and it was ugly, lucky to get out alive, so be careful you only have 8 weeks left before your back in the slums of pompey....!! although FA Cup success is just around the corner.
Peru Hey guys loved the story and you did well not altitude sickness, like you did nit have great weather on teh climb but on arrival at MP the skies cleared to reveal a magnificent place and well worth the blood sweat and tears. Never complain again about hard work when you realise what these porters do and carry in such cramp conditions. anyway very envious brings back great memories but you have many more places to come and will be a great adventure. So impressed was i that i completed the trek thta i gave my welsh rugby shirt to the oldest porter in our group. Chamipons and grand slam winners again
as notrth face says never stop exploring
best wishes from thailand

I wish I had noticed you before and plugged in earlier on as you make a very entertaining read. I have laughed out loud numerous times today, so ta very much for that! Best of luck for your future travels - I hope you don't mind but I'll be tuning in to see where you end up next. Shaz Egg.
Wales wins 6 nations The good news was England had a good game against Ireland and beat them, but England have been hot and cold throught out the 6 nations the bad news is Wales beat France and won the 6 nations, England second, France third. We have plenty of rain hear but spring is well on its way just got a hot tub so you need to come up and stay, injury is on the mend kayaking and will be biking this week, still got a stick of Celery on the left hand side. re Sands of time Hiya following your blogs with great interest. You seem to have had enough adventure to last a lifetime. Our wings are clipped a bit as Astrid will have her hip op. after easter. Saw some of Toms photos from oz on facebook, he seems to be enjoying himself, good luck to him. Hope rest of your trip goes well. have sent somee emails hope you got them.
All the best , John and Astrid.
En las Banos (or in the shithouse) Just caught up on your last 2 blogs. We must get together as after 3 months of weekly one to one tuition in espanola Sally and I have also developed a new language of which we are the only 2 in the world that can understand it. I am just hoping that we may at last have found someone else that speaks our version of Spanish.
I must admit your journey sounds a little more adventurous this time with volcanoes, sickness and the like.
The cruise around the islands sounded fun, so we have booked a similar cruise for June on a little ship called Queen Mary 2 or something, I am sure a very similar experience.
We are back in Tenerife for Feb/March and going to Marrakech for a few days before we come home.
Kirsty is out with her boyfriend later today, also Sallys Mum so I will have to be sociable for a whole week.
Enjoy the next leg of your trip and I hope the weather is a little kinder to you both.
Happy New Year Just caught up with Gorillas In The Mist, best entry to date. I'm not sure your travel Insurance is going to like reading these entries though.
The experiance sounds fantastic so well done you two.
News from home, I am out in Tenerife, lots of golf and lots of sun. Sally at home this time catching up with friends and her various commitees. So as I have no friends and no job, I am focusing on getting away from a very damp UK.
Lisa did her duty and caught up with us before Christmas, we spent New Years eve on HMS President on the Thames, fireworks and Champagne, which was good.
Anyway, keep pushing the boundries for a nearly 50 year old and we will keep reading with interest.

back to school blues Hi you guys, happy new year and all that! Catching up on your travels and feeling totally fedup, will need to book a holiday after looking at the photos. Glad to see you are keeping your poetry writing going June, the christmas message was a hoot...you ought to send one to her majesty to liven hers up. Mary and Ross got married at Christmas which helped to cheer up the grey time of year as it has been a bit flat since Amy left.....most people had some sort of viral infection over christmas, poor Moira managed three of them! We all miss your cheerfulness, its lovely to read your blogs , as I read them I can hear that accent, which must be slightly different now with a Spanish edge to it. By the time you return my Kate will be sitting her GCSE exams, she has been accepted by Havant College pendimg her results. John is just sorting out his options and Rachel will be sitting her SATS in Year 6, how time flies. Keep taking those pictures and having a brilliant time. Wish I could send you both a nice cuppa, hope to share one with you soon. Take care Ruthx
Christmas I would say we will be thinking of you at Christmas but I would be lying. Hope Nik is being nice 'cause I know he hates that. Hope June has a nasal infection and is lucky enough not to have to smell Nik. Have a great Christmas and a happy New Year. XX (no kisses for Nik)
watcha Hi you two! We love reading the blog, looks like you're having a fab time - just wanted to say have a fab Xmas and New Year where ever you are!

We are finally escaping for a year....children are now all grown up apparently, so we can now start enjoying ourselves!! In an effort to be part of the 21st century, we are endeavouring (with the help of offsring) to set up our very first travel blog...feel free to track our progress as we head from place to place...happy reading...... full info
