Hey! I'm glad to see you're coming home and I'm so happy that you found the right one. I'll miss you forever when you go to Holland next time but you'll always be in my heart!
A true friend Forever,
Nicole B.
Welcome Home Sounds like you had a terrific time, sorry it is coming to an end for you. Thanks for the advice on drinking. Good advice. I bet it is really difficult to be coming home and leaving Mirjam, but it sounds like you have long term goals which is a great thiing. Look forward to hearing some of your stories when you return. Safe travels.
Peace,
Mrs. Melvin
I miss you, Jon This is all so great, Jonathan, but I'll miss you terribly. But don't think of me, think of her. She is, as you say, a gift. Keep ahold of her and don't let go, don't let secrets stand between you and keep her closer to your heart than anyone else in the world.
It's what we all search for in this world and you've found it, the truest kind of love; you're one of the lucky ones. We all miss you here and I hope you're still planning on coming back at the end of winter, even if just to visit, since I know you'll be wherever she is whenever you can.
Your friend,
Nicole Burwell
Hurray, hurray, hurray for you, Jon!!! I am so proud of you, of your confidence, of your willingness to reach out, even if tentatively at first, and seek what you need. You are your own best friend . . . and your own best advocate! Best wishes to you, and to you and Mirjam. Be safe and stay in touch. I love hearing how your life is going.
Good for you Hey Jonathan,
You write so well, you really have to pursue writing a book. If you don't you are cheating not only yourself but all the others that have been in similar spots. I'm so happy you have found your love, your email is infused with confidence and hope. I love to read them, now write a book I can read! Keep us posted on what is happening with you as well as chapter drafts. We here at Orion can be your editing board.
Be well and be peaceful,
Mrs. Melvin
Purposes are wonderful! Jon, you have so beautifully expressed yourself here. Thank you for sharing. It thrills me to know that you have found purpose in loving and being loved by a person whom you aptly describe as a gift! And I do believe you have the skills and determination to make it work. Now that you are sensing your worthiness to have a gift as wonderful as Mirjam, (and I can say this openly since you are no longer my student) I say, seek God with all your heart because there are more wonderful gifts and purposes in life awaiting you! You and Mirjam are in my prayers, love Rose
Happy New Year! That video was pretty wild! I saw a brief display of fire works at Boyne Mountain at 10 pm New Years Eve but I guess you have to be in Holland to really see the action. Thanks for sharing with this blog, it's fun to learn of cultures in far away lands. Now that you are on your second tour I would image your language skills are really advancing too. Could that be a useful skill in seeking employment? Jon, I remember that cute little boy you were in first grade and now I am wishing you a "Happy New Year" while you are in the season of adulthood and in Europe no less! Did somebody just fast forward this movie? May God Bless you and Mirjam for this coming year, love Mrs. Mills
WOW Hey there,
Looks like you had a great time. How was your Christmas? Back to school tomorrow, aren't you glad you put in your time and graduated? What are you doing to keep yourself busy there? I'll share your posts with the guys at school. I'm sure everyone is hoping for a snow day tomorrow but sooner or later we have to get back to business.
Thanks for keeping us posted on what is happening with you.
Take Care and Happy New Year.
Peace,
Mrs. Melvin
WOW! You're right Jon, That's NOT safe!! HAHA!! Lots of fireworks!! Looks like you're having a good time over there - give Mirjam a hug for us! Happy New Year!! Love you!
glad to hear from you! Jon - I'm so excited for you to be there in the Netherlands again, and for 3 months! I look forward to your frequent postings - I do enjoy your perspective on things. Please be safe (yes, my mantra) and stay in close touch with those that matter to you. Hello to Mirjam.
Leslie
Thanks jonathan Hi Jonathan,
Thanks so much for writing. I so enjoy your entries and have asked your Mom what was going on and she had told me that Mirjam had visited Michigan and that your were going back. Have fun, enjoy life and keep us posted!!! I so admire what you are doing and we all wish you well.

Welcome home! Hey Jon, welcome home. We loved your blogs and all the pictures, but we are glad you are home safe. I know you had a great time in Europe and can hardly wait to return, but we missed you. Keep in touch and we will see you soon. Love grandma and grandpa
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Hi Jon,
Thanks for the great trip. I braced myself for the bad photos, but didn't find any. They were all great, it looks like a wonderful part of the world. It will be very interesting to hear what Mirjam thinks of the United States when she visits in the Spring. Keep in touch and let us know. I'm sorry you're going to miss Thanksgiving dinner, but it sounds like it was worth it. Thanks again for sharing your trip with us we truly enjoyed it.
Love,
Aunt Connie
Nice pics. Hi Jonathan,
Nice place, no wonder why you want to keep hanging out there. It will be nice to see you in person and hear your stories. Take care, enjoy every minute there, soak up the sights.
Talk to you soon,
Be safe.
Mrs. Melvin
What a nice place. Love the colors!! Nice and roomy. The streets remind me of Japan, rather narrow considering the road room we have in the States. -Mom-
Cool House hey Jon, we love the house and neighborhood. Looks like you are having a great time. Keep sending the great pictures, we love them. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Love grandma
Nice to actually hear your voice on the video. What an amazing church - and the views of the city are exceptional. You look quite European. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Hi Jon,
We really look forward to your updates. Great photos, we haven't been able to view the videos yet but we will keep trying. Adam says hello to the toothpick. Jeremy wants exotic food. Dalton would like a German bible. You're about due for another update so keep them coming.
Take Care and Be Safe,
Mrs. Melvin
How cool! Your blog has given me the sense of being on vacation in Europe too! You have a talent of not just conveying pictures but the very atmosphere and culture--only the native american culture is that old in Michigan. It was great to talk to you the other day--you were an inspiration to the guys in my group that morning! You gave us much to discuss after the call ended. GBY, Mrs. Mills
Phenomenal Pictures Jon, I very much enjoyed your pictures and commentary in the video. I look forward to catching up with you when you return. When exactly do you return? You need to make sure to stop by my office so we can grab a bite to eat and catch up. Jim Rummer
St. Eusebius Church Hey Jon you look great and I think you are having the time of your life. I hope this gives you some insight into life after high school. We are proud of you for taking the leap into travel by yourself which is a pretty scary thought! Keep sending the pictures and messages from the Netherlands, we are really enjoying them. Love Grandma and Grandpa
You Need.... Jon! You look GREAT in that new coat!! I LOVE IT!! You need a scarf though! Not something frilly...but a guy scarf! I'll buy you one for Christmas =D Miss you, looks like you are having a great time!! Beautiful church by the way <3
