Hey guys,

After a long and tiring trip back, I am finally home. It has taken me a while to get on and post this entry, I apologize. Now I shall give you a summary of what I call Europe's way of saying 'stay here!'

It started snowing heavily the day before I was to leave Arnhem. Due to delays caused by the weather, four hours went by before I was even able to leave the city for Dusseldorf. My flight out of dusseldorf was over an hour late in taking off, due to icing on the plane's wings. Ironically the 9-hour flight to chicago took less time in my minds eye than my 8-hour flight to Dusseldorf in october. I arrived in Chicago at 2:20pm and went to wait for my 5:13pm flight to Traverse City. Five oclock comes around, my flight gets pushed two hours later... Sev en oclock comes around, my flight gets pushed 45 minutes later... Seven-Thirty comes around, my flight gets pushed another 45 minutes... Eight oclock comes around, gets pushed another 20 minutes! When the plane finally takes off at 9:30pm and is 15 minutes out of Chicago airport, it runs into mechanical problems and turns back! Then I had to wait another hour for them to decide to replace our flight with a new plane. It was 11:15pm when we took off again from Chicago and this time made it to Traverse at around 1:00am. If that wasn't enough, we had another two hours of driving on icy roads to finally get home!

That whole time I was wishing I didn't have to go home. My parting with Mirjam wasn't a happy one at Dusseldorf, we both were reluctant to let go of eachother. Only last night, a full three days after I returned home, did I finally manage to sleep without her again.

I just wanted to let you all know I made it home, and feel really dumb about my last post, thinking it was Thanksgiving on the 24th... When it's really today.

Yeah, so Happy Thanksgiving for real this time!
