Today we drove down to Waco, Texas to meet my sister and my niece for lunch. We were amazed by the sprawling network of roads and suburbs in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and relieved to reach the quieter town of Waco. We enjoyed a wonderful variety of tacos and street corn at Torchy’s (a Texas chain that got its start as an Austin food truck). After lunch we too a walk in Cameron Park along the Brazos river. On our way back to Frisco, we stopped in West, Texas for authentic Czech kolaches at the Czech Stop/Little Czech Bakery. The best part of the day was just the chance to spend time with family. So glad we could make this trip to Texas!
