Hong Kong Trip Hi Jake,
I like the look of your pink rubber gloves that you us when cleaning your bathroom. Good to know that you know how to clean. You can help us with our place when you get home. Who is the girl in the picture with you and Katie? The girl in the pink shirt with the ball cap on. Yet another fun trip to Hong Kong for you and your friends. Must be tough traveling with girls all the time. It looks like it could be a fun city to visit. As far as you wanting a bird, great, just know that I don't. The last picture with you and Katie at the port with a Heiney was a great picture to end the blog with. Looking forward for you to be back in the states. See you soon. love Dad.
Oh Boy! So having all these Chinese girls loving you... what is it going to be like when you come home? hmmm... Do you have a sort of beard in the purple shirt? It looks like it. You look older, travel looks good on you.
I enjoyed your China post. It looks like you are having a good time there. My blog is looking for travel photos. If you have time, email us some at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com and check us out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com
Continued fun on your travels,
Eric
Thanks Hi Jacob,
Thanks for the blog on your trip. Sounds like fun and I love the pictures of you and your friends and also the one of the flower, I am guessing it is a tree blossom. Save that one, it is 1566. I would love a copy of it when you get home.
Will read your next blog. Haven't been in my email for awhile.
Hi Hi Jake,
Enjoy reading your blogs!! Sounds like you are having a great time and have been able to visit and enjoy a lot of China. Will look forward to your blog about Korea. Have fun and stay safe.

Finally! Ah... the long awaited blog. Even though we have talked, it is still fun to read your updated blog. You may not think you have much to say, but I for one enjoy every detail, especially about the cultural differences. Only 2 months left in China, so continue to take advantage of every opprotunity. Sounds like you are studying more than ever! Looking forward to your next blog. We all miss you.
Love, Mom
Very cool Jake, looks like you're taking advantage of seeing as much as possible. However, I didn't read about how many companies you approached in HK for possibly opportunities? Maybe you want to save that for your next post so you can include Bejing?
See you,
Bill
Interesting stuff... It's always fun reading your blog posts - most objective views on things I am so used to!
Well I have to say this is the first time I've heard of the movie theater thing too! I guess I haven't really been to a college auditorium back home so I wouldn't have known... And no reason for feeling stupid for not speaking Chinese as well as kindergartners do! Our teacher told us in high school that our vocab was probably, probably comparable to that of American first graders, not to mention oral English... And nice work on the suit! I've only been in that market once and it just scared me to no end for some reason - I got out as soon as I could. OHHH I didn't know you were staying for a whole year! I'm going back for Christmas. Maybe I'll see you in China!
Hey Traveler! Hi Jake, sounds like you are learning how to travel and get around in China. Odd to hear about the people not wanting to use the stairs, and not yeilding to anything. Your blogs are great and the pictures really help to get more out of what you write. The open market just seems to be a good idea. Fresh food always has better flavor. Speaking of fresh food, after the first weekend for deer hunting, ZERO deer hanging. Grampa, Tim and me didn't even see one. The temps were warm, 64 degrees Saturday afternoon and mid to upper 40s in the mornings. Oh well, we will try agian this next weekend. We miss having you around. The experience you are having in China will out weigh on deer season. I think about you eveyday. It is great to read that you really enjoying yourself. Love you - Dad.
It's about time! Finally, a blog. I know I put some pressure on you to get a blog posted and that is why no pics this time, but I will admit pictures really are an added plus. Please post the pictures you refer to when you can. We are looking forward to your next entry and I expect you will keep it up :). It was nice talking to you last night. Sounds like you are still having a great time, taking advantage of every opprotunity you can and keeping very busy. We love and miss you, Mom.
WOW! Everything sounds so interesting and so different than the way we live. Your blog is great. A few more captions on your pics would be helpful and entertaining I am sure. Have you met many Chinese students at the University? Have you joined any clubs (other than the ones you party at)?
Hi, just wondering if you are back. Hi Jake, we haven't heard from you for a while. Looking forward to seeing pics from your trip to inner Mongolia. I hope that everything is okay. We miss you man!!!!
Hey Jake Belated Happy BD! Just read your last 2 entries...sounds like all is going well and you're among friends and making a stack of memories! I appreciate your openess, curisosity, and intensity in really exploring and experiencing another culture. Makes me feel a little bored...I'm busy, but think it's that learning something really new that revs ya up a bit. Continue to have fun and speak fluently! Your blog is interesting and descriptions are great! Take care. Jan

Mom
