HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!! Hi Jacob,
So good to hear from you again. Just getting back to feeling like checking out my emails etc. Am healing really well and now walking with a cane. I am happy for that.
Happy 21st Birthday!! We will not be up when the big day arrives so I am wishing you greetings now. We will miss celebrating it with you, but know you are having a great time in China. Know you will never forget all your great experiences there. Going to Inner Mongolia will be a fun experience, too. Can't wait to hear all about it.
Ya, I'm not to excited about your new kicks either. Maybe you could get some white shoe polish??? :)
Well better get going so I can get ready for church. Still remember the day you were born and your Dad came carrying you down the hall of the hospital.
Love you much

Embrace Basketball! Good to hear from you agan Jake, sounds like you are settling in to some of the China culture. Sounds like yo0u are also visiting the bars. You do remember you are not of leagal age until the 28th right? It does sound like the prices for fool are real cheap. You will have sticker shock when you get back home. Not real sure I like the shoes - you do know wath the rainbow of colors means! The adidas building looks different. The colors of it reall stick out. Again it sounds like you are having a great time and you are getting out and experiencing China. Looking forward to hearing how your trip to Inner Mongolia goes. Be safe and have fun. Love you - Dad
Jacob, it is Sunday and Vikes just started their first game with Favre. But don't worry, what you're doing is much cooler than watching a football game. Actually, I'm not really watching etiher, I just read your blog to Willie. Very interesting but he says he's never going to China...we'll see. I'm very excited for you, should be a great experience.

haha, i've always wondered what it would be like for foreigners to experience some typical but not textbook-materials Chinese traditions. now you've done it! now i wish i were home.
Make sure you have my share of the fun,
Zheng
ENJOY!!!! You did a great job writing in your blog. It is very interesting to see what things are like in Beijing. It sounds like you are having a great time. Good to read that you got into the higher level class. Enjoy the experience and keep blogging and sending pictures. Love Ya - Dad
great! Hi Jake,
Thanks for the update. Keep them coming! I love all the details. That's great that you tested into Chinese 202. Since it seems no one speaks English you will probably learn the language even faster than you had hoped. I think about you all the time. Have fun.
Love,
Mom
Wow Jake - your pics are amazing! I won't like the for HUMID part either, but the scenary looks great. I love your blogs. Although, the yolk muffin looks gross, is the yolk all runny after biting into it? Sounds like you are getting enough to eat though, and might have money left over :)

Zheng
Thank you Hi Jacob,
Thanks for the blog. Your Mom and Lisa sent me the link so I did finally get into it. Too bad you had so long at the Chicago airport, but better to have an airplane that would get you all the way to China! Hope you are having a good time. Did you meet any of your classmates on your airplaine to Beijing?
I went up to Caron's cabin with 6 other girls this week end. Had a good time just catching up on everyones lives. It was finally warm enough to go out on the pontoon Sunday morn.
Take care and we love you.
Grandma and Grandpa
