Market Frenzy By Jenafer Moldthan Malls shmalls, who needs a mall when you have a full-fledged Ghanaian market. Makola, the suburban market, was alive with experiences to be had and bought. Upon arrival we felt as if we entered an urban circus; people, animals, children, vendors, parked cars, moving cars, exhaust, food, fruit, bathrooms, bugs, fun and games. Overwhelmed and amazed at the sight of all this our group coordinator, a local Ghanaian student named Gwendolyn, informed us that we had yet to actually enter the market epicenter. The great thing about Ghana is you never know what to expect.
