I'll stick with the wet coast, at least there is no visible garbage. Loved your blog and photos. I visualize that one day people will become more conscious. What a fluke that the steps were built the year you were born Ian.
Very Interesting I stumbled on to your blog by searching for info about Costa Rica. We took a vacation there with a tour group about 2 years ago and loved it! We are near retirement age and doing our internet research as much as possible before we go back. Any information you have either good or bad will help us a lot! Have a great time.

Hi Dave, I could write you pages and pages about Costa Rica, but if there is anything specific I can help with, just email me at k.butler@dccnet.com
Happy travels!
You're on your way! Where i live now are all kinds of trees. I live in the middle of a pretty good sized town, but there are areas here you wouldn't be able to tell. In Jefferson City, the Capitol of Missouri and a city about 20 minutes to the south of me, I went on a hay ride with my friend's family about a month ago. We stayed inside Jefferson City, but we were in this wilderness area surrounded by farms. I really liked that - you could only tell we were in a 'city' after dark, when the lights of all the surrounding houses came on.
Anyway, Enjoy all your pictures! I am not a fan of tarantulas though. I think I'd be wearing shoes everywhere too, even when going to the restroom in the middle of the night...
Nothing like Golf Balls everywhere! My guitar is back in Arizona. I want to play it now after watching that last video, heh.
Ah well. Look forward to your next entry.
I love sea life At one time I wanted to be a Marine Biologist. There is always a lot more life in the sea than one might think. (True of the desert as well.)
Anyway - glad thing are going well. This has been a great trip for us all :D
Wonder if it was Fish Stew you bought? Looks like it. Kind of like the Beef Stew you find in the store. Hmm.
Looked tasty though. But everything looks tasty to me right now....heh.
Enjoying the blogs, btw. Reading through them has been a nice, relaxing Saturday Evening.
The Waterfall Reminds me of where I worked in Yellowstone. It is called Tower Fall and is near the north entrance of the park. The hike down is about a half a mile, but it is pretty steep so the hike back up feels about 3 miles long, heh.
I love seeing this. Once again, your description of food is killing me. I want a quesadilla so bad right now... You have to understand: I've been surviving (mostly) on Ramen. It's getting better now, but I've learned to love food in a way I never though I would, heh.
Pictures and videos What is being used to take the pics and videos?
BTW That might make you both wary of making monkeys up set in the future XD
Glad you didn't get urinated on...
Love the sunset photo Very nice.
I know you two are vegitarians, but all your talk about food is making me want to go down there and try their grilled meat. But part of that is me not having any real mexican food for 3 months.
...I miss Mexican food. I'm sure Costa Rican food is in the same ballpark.
Is there Canadian food? Hmm.
Speaking of Laundry, that was the highlight of my day today as well. Actually no it wasn't, talking to Nursie for a little while was :)
These blogs are making me want to go to Costa Rica Although, right now I might as well be in another country since I now live in Mid Missouri, heh. IE: Scorpions. Growing up in Arizona, you learn not to freak out when you see those things pretty fast. I must admit I'm a little more barbaric than either of you when it comes to bugs.
YSu casa es bonito. It is much more picturesque than my hotel. My view outside the door is a dirt parking lot and the second building of rooms :)
I Love it though.
Awesome pictures - I especially like the heart on the beach. It's so dang adorable :D
Very nice pictures It's great to have someone you know when you go in to a new region. In my recent move, my friend has helped me much more than I ever expected.
Glad your first little bit went well, even when your cards messing up.
Battle of New Orleans Happened after the war was officially over, but before the news reached the USA. Man - a life without telephones or the internet would be a lot slower paced...
We are about to embark on a 6month adventure travelling through Central America. Our adventures began September 2nd (as the photo shows)
When it’s over, I want to say: all my life I was a bride married to amazement. I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms. When it is over, I don’t want to wonder if I have made of my life something particular, and real. I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened, or full of argument. I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.” ? MARY OLIVER... full info

How does that make you feel?
Was it an enriching experience? It's LIFE!
