I visited New Orleans Back in 2001. I took a train to Atlanta and back. My layover in New Orleands was about 16 hours each direction. I stayed in a hotel near Bourbon street on the way there, on the way back I camped out in the train station. I did walk around the city, though. Beautiful - but it was also before Hurricane Katrina.
I am reading through your blog in Chronilogical order, so I shall see where you head, next!
your pics What a fantastic beach you are walking on. The sand seems so clean and is it a fine sand. Its so wide, and best of all, not another person to be seen. All the plants and flowers are amazing, and Karen, just imagine living in a place where orchids are growing just outside your little cottage. How wonderful. xo
Considering dental work in Costa Rica. Have heard very good reviews, but still a bit nervous. Probably San Jose?!?! Got any suggestions. I would love to take extended travel in various parts of the world. Have been to about 30 countries, 6 continents; but still sooooo much to see and experience! Keep the blogs coming!
Dental I was happy with the work I had done. He was a dentist friend of my friend from Canada (in CR for 10 years now). He examined me, had x-rays done (full head shot) and did some grinding of some previous work. $30 for his work and $20 for the x-rays. If you are interested I could hook you up with him. His has been nicknamed "Spanky" by my expat friend.
30 c plus ready for surfing! I guess you must be excited to hit the slopes. I hear it's cold up there. Hot as hell here, must get another beer...........
Stay thirsty my friend!
Wonderful photos Thanks Karen. I appreciate your blog. You gave excellent directions. Lots of Love to you both.

When it’s over, I want to say: all my life I was a bride married to amazement. I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms. When it is over, I don’t want to wonder if I have made of my life something particular, and real. I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened, or full of argument. I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.” ? MARY OLIVER... full info
