7am feeling amazinlgy sleepy but must catch the bus! So after dragging our backsides down stairs after the worst sleep of the trip we go and wait for the bus by Lee's travel agency. When the bus arrives we jump on and are suprised its a transit! good times at least its not as dodgey as some of the things we have seen. 3 and 1/2 hours on the bus to the harbour we pick up others for a total of 16 people the tour guide has brought along a stool to dsit on by the door (genius!) So after falling asllep most of the way and acting like one ofthem nodding dogs you get in the car we arrive, Say hello to a few of the people we will be travelling with and get on ... read more

Mausuliums houses on stilts pagodas (i will fill in more when I get the map out) We had ice cream oo for 10K dong this is like 30p amazing. ate at a resturant ... read more

So today we woke up to a message that simple said Stay indoors Level 10 typhoon is in effect. Basically the worst typhoon to hit HK in 13 years and were stuck in the middle of it haha. So today consisted of us staying in until we needed to eat then casually popping out to starbucks and mcdonalds because of course the world could be ending and companies like that would still be open. However it was amazing to see people getting blown about, wearing hard hats and even magazine stands staying open with only a little plastic sheet to protect the presious magazines they sell. I think thats roughly all for today leaving HK tomorrow bit guted e didnt get the chance to go to the theme park but next time because I'm pretty sure ... read more

So today was intresting, We took the Metro to central and went up to the peak. Amazing views even if we got hit by the rain (this made me smile as it reminded me of home although it was still 30 degrees) once we had left the peak we travelled to the harbour and looked around. the blogs seem to be drifint off words wise but seriously some of the things I have seen can only be described with pictures which will hopefully follow soon. The light show we saw on the harbour was amazing every building in HK lights up and theres lazers, I never thought lights could be so exciting. The space centre was intresting too lots going on in there it seems, We done so much today its hard to remeber it all. ... read more

So this morning we woke up around 9:30am got showered in the smallest shower I've ever seen, good power though always a plus. Heat is still above 30 degrees here. James picked us up and we went to see the big Budda and its big! amazing cable car trip and views (pictures to follow) I'm finding Hong Kong to be very busy and croweded but in some areas still peaceful. On the way back to the cable car James "treated us" to some tofu flower (very intresting) also what we think was shark on a stick (not terrible) and a beer followed whilst watching some monks perfom martial arts. This was amazing there kicks were as fast as lightining ..... The cable car back was intresting too we got a clear floor one which ment we could ... read more

On the first flight I found myself sat in the middleof the row between Bugg and an old woman from SA, the entertainment in flight is actually amazing and very smooth. The feeling of leaving and going so far is very strange not so much scary or exciting but I found it hard to belive its all happening. Plane food isn't all that bad either very good service. The A380 however was amazing, everybody should fly one of these. Upon arrival James and Haze were waiting for us which for me was such a relief and It was so good to see him in his place after hearing about it for ... read more

So here I am a week before the beginning. Injections done (this by the way involved a type of fainting and reinforces the fact that if I need to be immunised to go somewhere is it really somewhere I want to be?) From my new year’s resolutions (see above) I have completed none... On the bright side I have managed to book a hostel to stay in when we get to Hong Kong. Bag is still to pack, essentials still to buy, people still to say bye too. The list is still very long of things to do. Still I’m positive it will be fine. Money wise I have my Hong Kong Dollar, American Dollar and Nam Dong. Not much else to say really getting excited or is that nervous? I guess the Grumpy ... read more
