No floating reed islands then??? Hola chicas - So you made it back to civilisation after your Inca "trial" as we came to call it. Congrats! Did you not take a trip to one of the floating reed islands on Lake Titicaca? Shame if you didn't as they are amazing and such an experience (spongy surface literally sinking so that they have to lay more and more reeds down to stay afloat! What I imagine walking on the moon to be like...) Sorry to hear you've suffered from Boli(vian) belly. Loads a love, Jo xx
So unfair! Hey girls, I told you it'd be hard but you'd make it. Can't believe how clear a view you got at the Sun Gate - it was so foggy when we got there that you couldn't see a thing! Am well gutted. Don't worry Fi, I managed to do my knee in and was so tired after day 2 I slept like a baby. Have been thinking about you all the past few days and good to hear from you. Feliz cumpleaños, Fiona! Love, Jo xx
Don't fall over - Cums has got a house!!! Yoyoyo! How's things? Hope you're all well and making the most of the lovely lifestyle you're used to! Just about to move into house. Got keys todday and am rather inebriated on shampoo/champagne!! Hope I find you well and you having a swell time!!! lots of love the envious p****ed one, Cums xxx
Too much fun!! Oi Ladeez! Sounds like you're having too much fun! I'm gonna go on bout the weather again because it is making me very envious of you sunny shots of fabulous places!! Oh you guys! You're so lucky. Can I teleport into you backpacks and come and visit!!
Take care, enjoy and live it up la vida loca!!
lots lof luv Cums xxx
shots in the night Well girls I guess that they are not the shots you are all use to at night I bet the ones that you are use to don't go with such a bang even though your heads might feel like they are banging in the mornings after consumption. I love people watching cos there are some really strange people about (I wonder who was watching you three). The name of the place you ate at was quite apt I thought 'Mongo's' did you feel a little at home? The zoo sounded fun we are glad that you all managed to get out ok.Enough of the wise cracks apart from the coach journey being a bit testing it sounds like there is still fun being had. Take Care love mum and dad xxx a kiss each x one for luck
Envy Well the blogs are coming thick and fast and we are green with envy. It has been snowing here so tee shirts and shorts have not yet sen the light of day! More like long johns! Glad to see that you are all enjoying the travels - love the photies.
Look forward to the next edition.
me is Mum Hiya to you all. Once again great reading. What would you do without BK or McD's........starve. I presume it was a bit 'hairy' for that long on the coach - well until Herbie arrived. How are you getting used to the altitude - effecting you more than you thought. The zoo looked exciting You all look much slimmer than you started - all this exercise you are doing obviously.
Great to hear from you all and take care - don't get arrested.
Mumxx
film buff Maybe it was time to give up your day job. You're writing such a witty travelogue perhaps this is your true forte. Certainly you have avid readers. My comments still only get in about third place despite hourly blog checking . I dont know how the others get in so quick. Good idea using film titles - misspent youth watching videos all night?
Whats this with fish and chips and burgher king - spoils the image along with all the exotic place names.
So you heard gun shots - told you to watch in the bad lands of la paz - maybe Clint Eastwood will show up in one of your movie pics next.
beunos notches
Mingratty glad your still enjoying yourselves and looking after each other! Could you not have got your grundies on and fixed the coach yourselves???????? havnt you learnt anything after all these years Jemma? anyways, keep safe and catcha l8erz!!!!!!!!! xxxxxx
Fiona- good to see you're having a ball, and have taken much personal pleasure in that I'VE BEEN TO MOST OF THE PLACES YOU HAVE!! (Nothing worse than a gloating backpacker...)
Shame you have opted to miss out the World's Most Dangerous Road mountain bike trip while in La Paz as that was a blast... if a bit scary.
Get yerselves a nice woolly jumper in La Paz to prepare for those chilly high altitude evenings on the Inca Trail!

Another look Hi girls I just had to have another look at your photo's they were that good. I don't know if you all realised that there was a big crack under the one that you were all standing on the edge of maybe check next time.Girls we know gina quite likes a man older than her but there is a limit they don't need to be as old as her dad so put tape over her mouth or something. Have more fun on your journey. Loads a luv Den and John xx
Hi Hi Jem and girls, what great pictures! You`re obviously still having a great time. Not too sure about the bikes tho! Your weather seems to be just a tad warmer than ours, still at least we`re not getting sunburnt!! You`re all looking so fit and well, keep it up. It`s lovely receiving all your news, always looking forward to the next installment. Take care of yourselves, stay safe.
Lots of love Jem........Janey xxxxx
Lovely red skies! Hi girls. Great photos of sunset. In fact your faces match the colour of the sky!!! Mum and dad have been over Jem and were asking what your secrets were...how should I know! Glad to see you're all still smiling. I won't kid you - the Inca trail will be hard but if you take it at your own pace, you'll make it. Don't be disillusioned by Inca flat (they mean the track will be up and down rather than literally flat!). Hasta luego, Jo xx
Scallywags Queen, Queen mother and Princess Diane - how you have gone up in the world. Once again lovely to follow you. Bikes, buses and desert. Tell Gina to pick on someone her own age to flutter her eyes at.
Pictures and scenes are fab - to see them 1st hand must be spectacular.
Love to you all - take care
xx
Love reading what you've been upto, although suspect you're missing out the juicy bits! Sounds like you're having a blast. Great pictures - amazing views (not jemma's cleavage, although it's pretty impressive). can't wait to read about your next adventure. Take care. Sarah xxx
Moonscape Looking at the eerie pictures, valle de la luna, lonely planet talk and sand dunes I thought your adventures had sucked you through a black hole and put you on the moon. Well it is now midnight here and I'm looking at the screen through a whisky haze. Where are the volcano pictures I was looking forward to seeing - wouldn't your lunarmobiles go that far or were your a*rses to sore.
Well glad you will make it La Paz (I used to buy cigars of that name) - conjures up badlands images from spaghetti westerns. Apparently it is high altitude so good acclimatisation. There is supposed to be a magical lake Titicaca nearby.
See ya lunarnauts
Don't get sand in your pants! Hey hun, sounds like your having a fab time - now it's my turn to be green eyed! So your finding time to a get a little action in between the culture and the travelling eh ;-) Why does that not suprise me! You go girl. So when you going to be in Peru? I have a friend out there with his brother at the mo' - my mate's out of bounds but his brother isn't!!! Anyways, was good to get your email - btw any FC'ers reading this - get in touch - I don't have any of your personal emails! Mine's my name @ gmail.com
royalty It seems the royalty thing keeps following you around maybe it's going to lead to something promising (fool's gold rather than a prince probably).Glad to see that you are finally doing some exercise with other parts of your body than just your right arm and possibly Jem's cleavage (only person I know who can hold a bottle of drink there and drink it). So many different types of photo's from past blogs and this one would make good prints for wall pictures. ( I meant the scenery ones not the up close face ones)Good group photo of you all smiling I hope you have still got those smiles after the inca trail. Au revoir for now. Diana's Mother xxx
Power Cut I seemed to read this but didn't answer. You threw me as last Monday I came to work and had all the blogs together.
Looks like you are having a great time. Nice pictures - seems like you still have decent clothes left. Obviously you had a power cut before Gemma used the straighteners - very nice
Looking forward to the Inca Trail. This will sort out the weak and wobbly ones so you lot have no trouble with the vast amount of alcohol you have consumed and toasties to build you up.
Take care and love to you all

mum trying to read nan's writing Gina I see you have'nt lost the art of lying on your back (I think she is refering to the mermaid photo)do you want your dressing gown?I looked at the photo and thought Marilyn Monroe and when I looked again I realised it was Jemma dancing.I think you should change the leader of the pack as Fiona can't show you the way to go home.Grandad made a little comment about Fulham needing a bit of leadership but she would'nt be any help to them either.Nan said it's not funny when you get old and incontinent. Love to you all Nanny and Grandad xxx
where's the horse Hav
ing trouble keeping up with you now. Bet the Andes looked great. Liked the the shaggy dog story - bladdy funny. Nice pic of the cart but was there really a horse attached - what with lion and the dog wondered if you were at the zoo. Looks like a great adventure especially the next bit as San Pedro is in volcano territory. Dont get to close - you never know when they're gonna blow.
Hope the meal was good - good luck on the next leg.
the three muskateers Hi girls I just replied to your last blog didn't realise I had another one to read and what a great read it was I actually found myself laughing out loud to that one. I hope Gina didn't do her royal wave to too many people from the carriage I would hate for her to embaress you (yeah right). It's a wonder Gina didn't get one of you to rub her feet and the other to rub her neck and hair she loves that though I think I know what the answer would have been. Take Care Love mun and dad xx
Normal Hi guys well it was lovely to see a photo of what you normally look like when you all go out but jem what happened to the straighteners? I hope it wasn't a case of argie bargie on the escalators and you knocked him over for a laugh cos you thought it might be fun in a bored moment. It's great to read your blog. Keep them coming.Love to the three of you. xx
Myself , Gina and Jemma have decided to pack in our jobs in favour of 6 months backpacking round the world.
Starting in Rio in February we are travelling around Brazil, Argentina, Chile and taking on the Inca trail in Peru. After South America we are returning to the western world and some hot showers in NZ and Oz before and a week basking in the Bali sun. After recharging our batteries in Bali we're off again to Singapore, travelling up through Malaysia to the Thai islands, Bangkok and hopefully time permitting to Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.... full info
