High class place!! I would love to grab a coffee or tea along the pier there, looks so posh. Very cool they commemorated the "waving girl" with a statue- thanks for sharing some of Savannah's history with me!
Great map. I could easily spend a couple weeks there just roaming the historic district. As you know Savannah & other plantation cities are high on my bucket list ;o)
Space Walk They should have had a mock up of the space walk so that you could have had your photo taken on simulated MARS or something of the sort.
Welcome back to earth. - Pierre
Amazing I can understand why both of you enjoyed this place.....the stained glass windows, organ are unbelievably beautiful.....the architecture is unbelievable & the place is very, very clean. The residents seem to be very proud of Fernandina Beach. The Lesesne House is very, very similar to the house I grew up in on Island Park Drive. My parents got their inspiration from down South. Happy to hear that Mr. Yulee was willing listener - lol ! Another job well done Fred.....I cannot imagine the patience and talent it takes to write these blogs. Keep up the good work.

Delightful Fernandina Beach sounds like a delightful place for an extended holiday. I can see why you had such a good time. Everything looks so clean and well kept up. Loved the stained glass windows and what a great photo you took of the Spanish moss laden tree. You make me want to go there. The beach looks quite nice too. Thanks for sharing. Nanci
Hi, everyone. I am a retired Canadian senior, living in Ottawa. My dear wife Margo and I used to love to travel just about everywhere, especially as “snowbirds” in the winter. Although we can no longer travel for medical reasons, I've been travelling and taking photos for many years, so I still want to share some tales and photos from our vast collection. with you. Cheers, Eh?
