Delightful What an interesting and well kept up little town. I can see why you had such a good time there. The buildings are very charming, the beach looks gorgeous and I love the stained glass windows. What a great photo you took of the spanish moss laden tree. Thanks for all your research and efforts making these articles.
Great articles as usual Just got caught up on you blogs. I like the format of the blog better than the previous format. Love the articles and the pictures. My history lessons!!!!
Ancient architecture like this never ceases to amaze me- I can't begin to imagine the manpower that went in to building these structures that have survived throughout the centuries. Reminds me of Angkor Wat, although the style and structures are much different. Great nutshell history lesson!
It must be a beautiful colonial town worth to visit . I plan on being there next month. Any suggestions? What ate the cons? Pollution, noise , and neglected Infrastracture, s
So called side walks a disaster Eva
Awesome pieces! The air-crafts are in excellent condition and the designs are really attractive too! Nice shots of the planes in action, those must have been hard to get given their speed. Thanks for this!
Beautiful!! Love the flora down that way, such pretty variations- smoke trees sound especially interesting, quite impressive they can survive in the desert at all!
I remember the 1st time I saw this from a distance. I thought the sky was flooded with huge white birds LOL Being the country bumpkin, I'd never seen a wind farm before LOL
Wow, what beautiful basilicas! They remind me of those that you often see in European countries, very regal and elaborate (the rosette's and fresco's are particularly beautiful). I should plan a driving tour through Quebec one of these days and check out some sites like these.
Thanks for the memories... we spent many a vacation in Antibes when we lived in Europe from 1977 to 1995. I agree that it is the nicest town on the Riviera. We would stay at the Hotel Royale.
What a beautifully maintained and historic oasis! Love the photo of the ramparts in the the main area of town, so commanding! One of my best friends is a 'Grimaldi' so I'll let her know that she's a descendant of the Rulers of Monaco!! :D
Beautiful! How have I never heard of this castle before?! Jesse and I will have to plan a trip to visit this in the near future- a bit of a tragic love story behind it, but fascinating none the less.
So much rich history, very interesting place. I love how everything has been preserved so well; the "underground privy" reminds me of "Ferbitech" from the cottage, HAH!
Hi, everyone. I am a retired Canadian senior, living in Ottawa. My dear wife Margo and I used to love to travel just about everywhere, especially as “snowbirds” in the winter. Although we can no longer travel for medical reasons, I've been travelling and taking photos for many years, so I still want to share some tales and photos from our vast collection. with you. Cheers, Eh?
