Can't believe you're there! Wow, can't believe you're right there. How very adventurous of you indeed. And hey, those were stunning photographs!
Btw, agree with you about carrying politeness wherever one goes, and under any circumstances.
Alpine-like! :) You're right, these mountains do resemble the Alps! Nainggit ako bigla, it's so quiet and peaceful from what I can see in your shots. I could imagine myself climbing these mountains ---carry na kahit malamig! :) I never imagined it to look like this. Sa totoo lang, I was under the impression that this place is barren, dessert-like and HOT!
just visited batanes just came from a trip to batanes and i fell in love with the place. it is really quite amazing to visit and experience the islands and i just cant wait to go back there. unlike you, i stayed with my friend at their place in sabtang. it was just fascinating. it's as is if i stepped back in time when filipinos lived simply. i couldn't believe that there is actually a place here in the philippines where people sleep with their windows and doors open all throughout the night! everywhere you look is beautiful. and yes the people are so friendly and accommodating. i had fun riding the local tricycles on sabtang that have roofs made of cogon grass. i had fun participating in the community lunch at the local barangay fiestas. i had fun eating on huge leaves feasting on freshly caught fish and coconut crabs (tatus). the place made me realize that life can be so much happier if we scaled down a bit. the place is indeed worth visiting especially if you are the nature trippping/backpacking traveller. going there we took the flight with the royal star airlines and it cost P6000. flying back we took seair and it was P6350. now, am starting to save up again for the trip back next summer..... even without my friend. =)
hey... Hi hana...glad to know you are safe and enjoying your trip. i am sooo enjoying your blog..i feel like im also there discovering amazing things with you. well, enjoy and be safe! :D
Good start! Wow, I jumped when I was notified via email that you had already blogged about this. Good job! I like reading you and your thoughts. You know, I'll say it again, I don't know how you do it, because honestly, I'm not even sure I have half the confidence you have to venture to some foreign country and experience whatever it offers you daily. :-)
Doc Hana! So these are the places you've visited! That's why I don't get to see much of you in RACMLA. Nice to stumble on your blogs here, easy reading.
credit doesn't belong to me :) Thanks, ate Lili. I most certainly agree on the importance of "committed leadership" in alleviating the condition of members of the agricultural/farming sector. But then again, my participation is just a tiny speck. If you meet the impassioned personalities helping the locals strengthen their leadership and other critical skills, you'll definitely get inspired by them, too.
God bless you! Through the years, their plight and their battlecry remain the same. It is easy to grow indifferent. So tempting to remain uncommitted. Such helplessness. It requires a very committed leadership and genuine concern to make life fair and instill justice for these folks. Hana, God bless you and your medical mission. Somehow, we all try to make our contributions felt. They may not be enough, but we keep trying.
Toasted Mountaineers? It sounds funny, but it wouldn't be if you girls got unfortunately toasted! Enjoying your blogs, Hana. Any recent trips lately? We're waiting for a sequel.
Salamat! I highly appreciate your comments. Really. Yes, I need to catch up on my way delayed writing. The next few blogs are all about our country and her people.
Great writing, Hana Hana, I just love reading your blogs. Quite behind on your writing, but worth the wait for sure. I hope you write more regularly about our country. Your writing is so compelling, that I may just brave the waters and the unpaved roads to get there!
Such a pleasure to see your blog. Hello. I was just amazed with this place. It was a place assigned to me as my project, me being a student yet. Can i ask a favor if i can grab some of your photos and information? although i tried earlier to grab photos but i failed. thanks! :)

Oh, my Dear me, what a scare. That's my most dreaded nightmare----running out of cash and plastics not working! You're a brave girl. I assume everything worked out in the end ;-)
Keep writing.
hi ma'am marichi! so you also went to pokhara? annapurna view's really breathtaking, right? will post my account about it in a few more days. why don't you create a travelblog account, too. :)
nepal is amazing dust almost everywhere, but what the ....!!! Pokhara was a different experience altogether. We went up to hill at 5:30 in the morning to watch the sun rise over snowcapped mountains of the annapurna range. A not to be missed experience. It was awesome--- watching a flurry of colors till 7:30 am, sipping masala milk tea, which was piping hot. Needed for the verrrrrrry cold morning.
I used to believe I could find the cure for cancer. And diabetes. And win a Nobel prize for it.
Then I went out of the hospital.
Then I discovered the road. And enjoyed it.
Now, (almost) everything I do, I do to get me to travel.
Who knows, I still might. But currently, I am enjoying what I'm doing. So it would most likely take a while.
(Note: Being a procrastinating duchess, I am unable to blog as often as I want. If you want to follow me for other non-travel related stuff, please do check out the links below.)
