Woke up at 6.30 to catch an early morning flight to Bogota. We got picked up by Luz, the sister of a Colombian girl I used to work with (Claudia). She was great, she drove us around and showed us the different areas of Bogota. First stop was USAQUEN where we had lunch at an Italian restaurant. We then drove through PARQUE 93 and the ZONA ROSA area which is just full of bars, clubs, restaurants and shopping malls. (They even got a Hooters here!) We stayed at the Fatima hostel in Calanderia, which was full of old colonial buildings, cobbled streets, museums, catherdrals, churches and historical buildings.
