Volubilis
Hi Kovik, For Volubilis I just hired a Grand Taxi for the morning, no tour guide. I was staying in the Ville Nouvelle and found a taxi station behind a gas station west of the traffic circle I think (on the road to the Medina; sorry, it's been a while since I was there but believe that's where it was). I just did Volubilis on my own with the Lonely Planet guide map, although in hindsight I think I should have gotten a guide when I got there (there are plenty hanging around the entrance to the site). Add on Moulay Idriss if you go, it's on the way and really cool (didn't stop there, just drove through it). Any other questions please let me know, glad to help... Jeff

Parking
Thanks for the kind words Stephanie, glad you liked the pics...I didn't have a vehicle in Morocco but I don't think you should have too many problems finding a place to park your car. It was busy up at the far end of the Gorge where we stayed, but I think there was a little parking lot at the foot of the trail we were on...similarly the trail ended at a small town south of where we were staying that had some parking. The trail we were on started just after the hotel Les Roches where we stayed, and you can see it in the first photo sort of centre and heading out to the right (hopefully it's still the same name, the hotel is actually just tucked in behind that large crack in the photo, and we hiked up to that vantage point in very short time). It was about 4 hours, and we got a little lost so see if you can find a map...otherwise just sticking to the road will give you some fantastic sites...Check also to see what the weather will be doing at that time of year; my gal was there in October and the gorge was flooded, she couldn't get all the way in...Enjoy your trip and any other questions please let me know! Jeff

Beautiful pictures
Hello! Great photos of Todra Gorge! I've been researching the place because I'm planning on going in June this year. Can you please tell me if it's possible to park my car there and make a 3-4 hour hiking loop back to my car? I would love to be in this area. Thanks! ~Stephanie

You should be fine with the Yaris...we didn't get up to Managua but would have to guess that the roads are fine in the city. All depends where you want to go I guess; we spent most of our time around San Juan del Sur and the road wasn't paved once you got off the Intercontinental Hwy which made for slow going (major potholes) but apparently the road has now been paved. We drove no problem to Grenada, but again left the car on the mainland for a trip to Ometepe Island (not recommended to bring the Yaris, trouble enough in a 4x4). Went exploring beaches one day and couldn't get through some flooding on the road, but aside from that it was fine...again, depends on how remote you plan on going...any other questions please drop me a line... J

Sorry, the only Snake Wine I encountered was of the "getting drunk" variety...which late at night I'm sure will cure what ails ya temporarily (at least until morning...haha...) but nothing beyond that...
