Awesome! Dear little one,
Thank you so much for including me in on your adventures. You are an amazing writer and I feel like I am there with you. My heart is so happy for you that you get to fulfill this dream of yours... tears welling up as you saw all of those camels for the first time. Thanks for the picture of the little camel - precious...just precious. Safe travels dear friend. Can't wait to hear more about your exciting journey!!
alright Vals You're not happy are you Vals?? I love the photo with the two men standing in front of their camels. Looks like that baby camel is smiling for you. Have fun. Nancy
Great problem solving I am in awe of your problem-solving abilities in a foreign land. I would be so intimidated but you guys just stay the course and take the challenges in stride. You are great adventurers. Cute cottage you are staying in!
Another "Celebrity" Sighting? I would pay to see the looks on their faces when they find out that they took a picture of some random guy and not Alec Baldwin or Sean Connery.
Yikes! Glad you made it on the train and to your destination safely. I can't wait to see camel photos...Sounds like you are in for an adventure and a wonderful time!
Miss you and wish you had been here Saturday. We needed your good juju. I won't lie - I cried Saturday. And I spent most of Sunday in a really bad mood. But, we shall prevail. We always do. GO CATS!!
To my sweet little cousin. ... I am so sorry about Saturday's disappointment. I don't blame you for crying. I too was pretty sad. I wish I were there to comfort you and the Wildcat Nation. We will be okay and we will prevail. Keep your chin up and take care.
In the words of Liz Lemon, 'Oh Brother' I wasn't aware that Roy was 'recognized' at Green Bay. I guess he forgot to rub that one in our faces.
Sidebar: I was walking my fierce German Shepard around the park last week. As we walked past Susie's house on the other side of the street, Gunnar's hair on his back stood up and started barking at her house. We go on walks all the time and he's never stopped and barked at anything, even other dogs. So, wanting to be the hero if something was wrong, I dragged Gunnar across the street to see why he was so upset at Susie's house. As we got closer, he jerked at his choke collar trying to get away. He did not like her house. What could he be so afraid of? Was someone in the house? Maybe we could even have something paranormal going on! Well as it turns out, Susie has a very terrifying potted plant by the drive way. Not to worry. Everything is safe here! Looking forward to the rest of your blogs.
International Sensation: Green Bay, Wisconsin Dear Lindsay--
I am surprised dad did not tell you about when we were at The Packers' training camp this summer. Some older women approached me and asked me who I was with. I was a little taken aback and said, "My Dad!" They said, "No, I think I know him. Isn't he famous?" I rolled my eyes and said, "Well some people think he looks like Alec Baldwin." They said, "Yes! He isn't, is he?"
dang it Vals Well with Lockett and Zimmerman out and Baylor loaded for "bear" we took a whipping. I also blame the sports illustrated jinx and your absence:-). Good news is that Oregon met a team with a defense and lost so with a win over Texas we might have an extreme outside chance if other teams would lose. I suppose Alabama will be back in the mix. Notre Dam looked really good shutting out Wake. They are for real.
I can't believe you didn't follow your salesmen to a carpet shop so they could serve you tea and unroll carpets with a flourish for you to admire and hopefully purchase! Kidding of course. Delhi, fascinating for a day or two then time to escape.
Nice weather but dry and windy. Nancy
Cucumber Juice? Total sucker bet. That is like bubblegum icecream, cherry pie, and any desert bought in a gas station! Oh well, you are short a key advisor at this point in the trip, so I can see how this mistake was made.
Is everyone in Delhi talking about KSU the way people are here in KC?
Good to look over your shoulders a bit. Great words, Valerie, and quite sufficient to get a feel of the experience, but a photo or two wouldn't hurt! I flew through Delhi a couple years ago. They were remodeling at the airport. Part of it was beautiful and part of it was definitely in process. I don't need to tell you, but always helpful to cool the spices with yoghurt!!!
Greetings from Oregon. Windy and cloudy here today. Traveling mercies!
Makes good sense I am so happy for you - KState is having an amazing season but there will be more for you enjoy when you return - the opportunity to do something you have always dreamed of is precious and you are so wise to make it happen when you can - I hope it is everything you want it to be
wish I were there! I envy you the next 3 weeks! We loved India and hope to go back in the next few years. Any chance in your itinerary of seeing tigers? Gives me goosebumps just remembering those beautiful felines!!
l will hold you personally responsible if the Cats lose Saturday.:-). Nancy
Yea! I am so excited for this blog! I loooove that you guys do this when you travel...I get to live through you! Don't worry....Snyder has your spirit with him, and it doesn't hurt to have cheers heard from around the world.
Go Cats!! Never fear, we will cheer on the Cats for you with all the fervor you would exude were you there yourself. We will beat Baylor. We will beat Texas. Then we will wait patiently for you to return so that we may make plans for traveling to Florida in January.
Have a great time and keep us updated, as we know you will! Love.
